Cheong Wa Dae is comprised of the Main Office, Yeongbingwan (State Guest House), Chunchugwan (Spring and Autumn) Hall, Nokjiwon Garden, Mugunghwa (Rose of Sharon) Hill, and Chilgung Palace. It is interesting to see that all the buildings are unique and beautifully designed, built in the traditional Korean style. Just outside the premises is Cheongwadae Sarangchae, an exhibition hall showing the history of Cheong Wa Dae and the Korean presidency, as well as gifts received by heads of State over the years. The hall is open free to all visitors.

Jagalchi Fish Market
Anyone with a love of seafood and tolerance for powerful odors could easily spend an hour exploring the country’s largest fish market. Narrow lanes outside the main building teem with decades-old stalls and rickety food carts run by grannies who sell an incredible variety of seafood, including red snapper, flounder, and creepy-crawly creatures with undulating tentacles.

After Breakfast we move to the Seoul KTX rail station, Start of the exploitation of the KTX train (Bullet train) significantly decreased the time to travel anywhere in South Korea.
Now to get to the farthest point by KTX train will only take less than 3 hours. KTX trains operate at a speed of 320 km/hr.

This morning, you meet the tour guide and visit DMZ
The highlight of today’s tour is the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone).
*Note: Must bring passport for an ID check.
Located on each side of the 38th parallel, this infamous border was established at the end of the war in 1953 at the signing of Panmunjom’s armistice in order to separate North and South Korea.
Upon arrival, proceed to passport security control followed by a short introduction at the United Nations camp. Visit Dora Observatory and Dorasan railway station. Discover Imjingak Park with the Memorial, the Liberty Bridge, and the bell of unification. Late morning, visit the 3rd tunnel dug into the rock at a depth of 73m and able of moving a full division per hour with their weapons.
