Small Group Sea Lions & Paddleboard tour - Espiritu Santo Island

EXPLORE ESPIRITU SANTO ISLAND ON FUN PADDLEBOARDS AND MARVEL AT THE BEAUTY OF THE SEA LIONS AT LOS ISLOTES!

La Paz is home to many charismatic marine animals, and sea lions are one of the most popular—we'd like to show you why! On this full-day tour, you’ll enjoy amazing wildlife experiences and visit enchanting Espiritu Santo Island.

At Los Islotes, we snorkel the rocky reef as playful and curious sea lion pups dart around us. This rocky outcrop showcases beautiful shallow coral, with many fish species and a host of birds.

The various beaches of Espritu Santo Island offer steep cliffs, mangroves, long sandy beaches, and fascinating geography, and we never know what we’ll see out on the water while we go exploring the coastline of Espritu Santo Island by paddleboard. It is a great spot to experience the combination of desert and marine environments of the Baja Peninsula.

We will be thrilled to share this amazing experience with you.

Itinerary

We meet up at our shop at 8:00 to gear up, then we boat to the sea lion colony at Los Islotes. Once there, we get ready and slip into the water to snorkel with playful sea lion pups among colorful coral reefs.

Then we head to one of the many beautiful beaches on the island for lunch. Lunch is included; let us know if you have dietary preferences at the time of your booking. We have delicious local ceviche or hummus.

Once we finish lunch, we get ready and paddle among the desert, sea, and mangroves at Espiritu Santo island.

This tour is appropriate for all ages and paddleboard experience levels. Beginner- No problem! We include an introduction to paddleboarding.

After paddleboarding, we will load our skiff with all our gear and make our way back to La Paz, with an estimated arrival at Eco Migrations at 4:30 p.m.

* From June to August, the breeding sea lion colony at Los Islotes is closed. During these months, we snorkel at the San Rafaelito rookery, which is much closer to La Paz and is composed mostly of juveniles.
