Meet the mountain gorillas of Bwindi National Park, an experience you will never forget. Spend time with these gentle, magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. If time allows, visit the endangered Batwa pygmy community for a rare insight into their culture.

Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Western Region
Our driver will pick us early for the long drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Along the way we will visit the Equator for some photos and souvenir shopping.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking

Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Western Region
We will depart early morning departure accompanied by a UWA guide to search for one of the world’s most endangered animals, the mountain gorilla! We will descend deep into the forest to find one of the gorilla families. We will spend around an hour in close proximity to the gorillas, observing these magnificent, peaceful animals.

Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Western Region
Depending on how long the gorilla tracking takes, we can spend the afternoon visiting the indigenous Batwa people.

The Batwa are one of the oldest ethnic groups in Uganda, who live traditionally in the rain forests. Today, their culture is in danger of going extinct as they face increasing pressure from other. The tour will give you an insight into their way of living, their history and culture.

This tour is at an additional cost and dependant on finishing gorilla tracking with four hours left for the Batwa tour.

Day 3: Transfer to Kampala or Entebbe

Stop At: Kampala, Kampala, Central Region
After breakfast, we transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe for a drop-off at your accommodation or the airport.
