Its well worth taking a walk at Sandfly Bay. The track down to the lookout is an easy walk. From there down to the Bay itself, the track gets harder. If you do make it down to Sandfly Bay, you will most likely come across sea lions and seals. Please keep at least 10m away from them because they are fast!Pass By:

Andersons Bay was named after James Anderson, an early settler. He was the first European settler in the district in 1844, along with his son and daughter in law. That was four years before Dunedin was officially founded.
