Today a rest day at the beach or swimming pool (swimming pool April to October) or a visit to Cádiz, more than an hour's drive from your hotel in Zahora.
A walk through this oldest city in Europe, located on a peninsula and dating back to 1100 BC, should not be missed on your trip.
Cádiz is now one large monument from the 18th/19th century with a homogeneous, colonial architecture, but below the current city are the Phoenician and Roman districts.
It is a city that embraces you; colourful, cheerful, relaxing and surrounded by the sea.
Your tour takes you past the most beautiful places: Plaza san Juan de Dios, the cathedral, the flower market.
Very popular with the Gaditanos: eating tapas in the old covered market, combined with a good glass of local wine.
When you visit, don't miss the picturesque La Caleta Beach, with its lighthouse and hand-painted fishing boats.
Costs tour to and through Cadiz 40€ p.p

It is a nice linear route between Tarifa and the Guadalmesí Tower, along the Colada de la Costa.
It is not a beach walk, you walk a bit higher, but you can occasionally descend to the coast for a swim.
You are in the Natural Park of the Strait of Gibraltar, located between the two continents of Europe and Africa and between two seas; the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean.
Morocco is only 14 km away from the Spanish coast here; you can see the cottages of Ceuta.
We turn around at the Guadalmesi tower, but you can make this walk as long/short as you want.

You walk 2 km to the starting point of the route through the shopping street of Tarifa.
You follow the river de la Vega for a long time; Depending on the time of year, more or less water flows here.
This region is loved by surfers because of the wind, and therefore also extremely suitable for alternative energy: the windmill.
The area around Tarifa has one of the largest aeolian parks in Europe, a part of which we see here.
The 'retintos' are also walking around here: red-brown cows that can live freely until they eventually end up on a plate during the 'feria del retinto',
a great culinary feast in which all the surrounding villages participate and compete for the most original tapas.
Take enough water with you on this circular walk, as there are parts with little shade.
