We had a great time exploring the Souks with Mohammed! I definitely recommend getting a tour guide because the souks are a big maze. We went to several great shops, and were able to get some Argan oil, and several souvenirs. Highly recommend!

This tour was 11/10 AMAZING. The only reason it took me a few days to review it is that I was having trouble with my Viator account but I specifically kept working on getting logged in so that I could write a review of Reda and his shopping tour.
I purchased this tour with my daughter because she wanted to do some shopping in the souks and we were not sure how hectic it would be. It was wonderful having a guide who could take us to good quality artisan works, knew his way around, and could help us negotiate fair prices for excellent pieces. Reda was able to help my daughter find everything she wanted and see everything she wanted to see. We were also able to see artisans at work on their crafts, and smell and sample many fine quality spices and soaps which was very interesting. All of the people at the shops who we worked with to find products were very kind and it was very helpful being with a guide they knew personally. Additionally, Reda was very welcoming and generous. He was happy to bring us to as many shops as needed to find what we wanted, was very funny, personally helped us pick through items, and even shared some helpful Arabic phrases with us which required a lot of patience! We felt safe throughout the tour, and would call Reda any time we return to Marrakech! Highly, highly recommend this tour.

This Tour Guide Rida was good . Very nice and friendly at the beginning but by the end of the tour not so much. He didn't stay with you the whole time.Which meant the shop or business owners followed you everywhere trying to get you to buy things before you had a chance to look properly. He seemed to be friends with all the people so he could get a cut out of the deal. Which put me off buying much. He did tailor the tour to my needs which was great but by the end of the tour he seemed disappointed that I didn't purchase alot. All the stores we visited had amazing colourful beautiful products.

I would recommend this tour if you would like to buy a lot of products or would like to just enjoy looking at the traditional highest quality morrocan products. He knew all the best places for textiles, carpets, scarves, weaved goods, cushions, wood products, ceramics, ornaments, jewellery, shoes, spices. argon oils. lanterns. This guys knows where the best of the best is. Most things were of very high quality just as u would hope from Morrocco. We still had time left. To see more souks but he was ready to stop for the day. Which was a bit of a bummer. His English is very good and he can understand English very well. Great Value for Money!!!

This was a great tour. It let us explore the hidden gems of the souk with a knowledgeable guide. There was so much to see and it could have been overwhelming without his help. I highly recommend this tour. It was a lot of fun!

Tour guide was absolutely amazing, English was wonderful and he was very welcoming. I enjoyed this tour more than I thought I would, being a woman travelling alone it was nice at the start of my trip to have him give me a tour around the souks and show me some places I wouldn't have gone in to by myself. Although I am sure the shops we went in were his friends shops to encourage me to buy items, I never felt pressured to buy anything at all. One man in a beautiful carpet shop we went into even sat me down to give me some Moroccan tea and chat to me about my travels.

Both the tour and the tour guide were fantastic. The tour guide was informative, friendly and extremely helpful when recommending other areas to visit in Marrakech. The tour itself was great as we were taken to less touristy areas of the souks, shown where lanterns/ tagines etc are actually made. One of the best stops on the tour was a rug shop in which we were greeted with tea and a tour of the shop by the owner. I couldn't recommend this tour any more if you are looking to explore the souks in a bit more depth and detail.

My best friend and I booked this tour just before we went to Marrakesh for a 4 night stay and we are so happy we did! We met up with Reda and had a quick chat about what we wanted to see and do so that he could personalise our tour for us. Reda took us to some great shops which ensured we got to haggle for goods handmade by traditional Moroccan artisans rather than made in China! We helped to make a rug and we ground argan nuts to make oil in the Berber pharmacy, two things we would never have got to do without him. We never felt pressured to buy anything. We also wanted to see the Ben Youssef Madrassah in the medina and Reda's knowledge about this building was as amazing as the building itself.

Reda is a friendly, approachable and open man and because of this, over a cup of mint tea, we felt able to ask him questions about all aspects of Moroccan life such as health, welfare, religion, social issues etc. He is patient, engaging, never instrusive and has a good sense of humour. He speaks excellent English and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour with him. He made our first time in Marrakech really, really enjoyable and I would not hesitate to recommend booking a tour with him.

Great tour and would recommend it to others. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our schedule. I liked that he took us to places that we would have never seen. I also appreciated that we saw all the street vendors - but he also took us to some high end shops as well. It was definitely a highlight of our stay in Marrakesh.

I really enjoyed this tour. Reda is engaging and told me about everyday life here too. It was nice to be able to wander the souks without being harrassed - if you are with a guide you aren't hassled. Reda took me to a few places to learn about how things are made and I didn't feel under any pressure to buy. I would recommend this tour.

Our guide Reda, was lovely and the tour started off amazing. He explained about some of the areas of the souks, some of the architecture and was helpful in answering our questions. however as mentioned in other reviews, it became clear that there are arrangements made between guides and shop owners, and it became a very curated tour only going to one rug place, one leather place.
All in all, it was a good experience, but just be mindful if you are considering purchasing, there are many other souks to visit.

We met the guide at The Café de France and were pleased that he waited, as we were around 10 minutes late. He clearly knew his way around the Souks, and had good knowledge of the history. He did however take us to mainly high end stores and when you are the only customers getting assistance from the owner, there is an innate feeling of pressure to buy, so be strong. There is clearly a cut involved, nothing I probably wouldn't do but actually witnessing the indiscreet handover, was a bit rich, so we decided to end the tour without further ado. This upset the owner of the shop opposite, to whom, I guess, we were to be taken next. Mutterings were exchanged between the owner and the guide from whom we then parted. I would still recommend guidance through the Souk, but warn the guide of the type of shop you wish to visit, or use this tour to learn you way around and go back to shop under your own steam.

We wanted a guided tour in the souks, even if we were not that much into shopping - and got it. Especially learning about the fix-price areas and the foundouks was interesting. However the guide didn't seem too enthusiastic - he could have spent the time more efficiently by also sharing more information on Marrakesh than just what we saw walking past things.
The guide made taking photos easier - when doing that alone a lot of people asked for money, but when we walked with the guide, they did not ask for money!

Absolutely loved the tour around the souks but felt a lot of pressure to buy a carpet / rug. As a first time visitor to Marrakech I wanted to go with a guide to feel more secure but I felt cornered in the carpet place and ended up buying a rug to get back out :(

I do not recommend this tour. At best it was OK as the guide explained some history of the souks. He took us to a set of shops that were very expensive. I understood this tour was into the regular souks and for the guide to help teach the art of haggling as done in Marrakesh - he did not, he just left us to it. I felt pressured to buy carpets, shoes, clothing, lights. It was not pleasant. I think it better to go to the souks yourself. You will get the same thing a lot cheaper than on this tour.

This tour was at best okay. The guide was nice enough. His idea of souk shopping was going to 3 expensive places and bypassing the cheaper ones. I had to force him to stop at a little shop to get a tagine and some art. Be prepared: everyone will start negotiating at 3 times the reasonable price.
