What better place to learn to dance tango than in Buenos Aires, Argentina - the home of Tango. There is a saying which states “It takes one lesson to learn to tango and a lifetime to improve it.” Over the course of seven days, experienced tango teachers will provide you with private tango classes. They will focus on all aspects of Tango including technique, dance styles; etiquette; tango and milonga hall recommendations. They will provide you with the confidence to fully enjoy this seductive dance.

During the course of the holiday, you will meet many other Tango enthusiasts – a mix of Argentinians and international Tango students. Your trip includes all Tango classes, tours and activities as listed, as well as six nights’ accommodation and breakfast in a boutique hotel. Note: this tour caters for all levels from first time beginner to advanced students.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Buenos Aires - Tango Dinner Show

Buenos Aires is the world capital of Tango and Los Angelitos Tango experiences the nostalgic mood with intensity through dance, music, clothing and poetry. Lively and ethereal, El Cabaret is the vibrant dance of this award winning show. A dazzling live orchestra, great dancers, traditional Argentine cuisine, and a fine selection of local wines and cocktails, make it a must see production. Includes pick and transfer to and from show.

Day 2: Private Tango Class & Visit to Milonga

Tango Class: There is a saying: "It takes one lesson to learn Tango and a lifetime to improve it." An individual Tango Class is provided for you by experienced Tango teachers for you to experience the passion and sensuality of Tango.
During the course of the holiday, you will have 5 private classes of 1.5 hours
We will also organize for you to take part in group classes every other night and a schedule to visit milongas.
Methodology of the Private Classes-
• Theme Selection:
The class begins with a detailed explanation of concepts and technical tango vocabulary. For example, if the subject of study is circular boleos, the teacher will explain the theoretical aspects of the boleos, by focusing on the general principles.
• Exercises:
Teaching exercises are done afterwards to work on issues needed to improve the dance. The class concludes with a review of all material seen and a summary of the technical aspects that will be worked on in the practices.
• Tracking the Student's progress :

Milgonas & Tango Halls: You will be provided with recommendations each evening on which Milongas and Tango halls to visit. Here you will have the opportunity to put into practice what has been learnt during the day. At the Milongas, there will be group classes that you will be able to take to develop further.

Day 3: City tour & Private Tango Class

Stop At: Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District
Private City Tour

The city tour would be a mixture of driving and walking and would take in all the major sights of Buenos Aires. From the Flor Generica And the Rose gardens we would make our way to the park of memory . This park is dedicated to the 30,000 Argentines who disappeared during the dictatorship between the years 1976 to 1983.
We would then visit Recoleta and the final resting place of EVA (Evita) Peron. This would be followed by the plaza San Martin and the Plaza de Mayo. This plaza has a rich history and the mothers of the plaza de Mayo still march their every Thursday.This is also the sight of the Casa Rosada where Evita made her famous balcony speech. From there we would move on to take in San Telmo and la Boca with the famous Caminito. We would move on then to the Theatro Colon (just outside view) and the 9th of July Avenue which at 18 lanes wide is the worlds largest and quite a sight to be hold.

Argentine Dinner Party Experience

You will take part in the Argentina Dinner Experience this evening . This unique dinner party's concept is to teach you the fundamentals of what being an Argentine is all about, whilst simply having more fun than is available anywhere else. Learn how to close your own empanada using the 'repulge' technique, to order steak your way in Spanish, to prepare your own 'mate' drink.

During the experience you get to take part in the ritual of preparing an Argentina Asado with the best of Argentina beef whilst sampling the best of Argentine wines. This is a group experience and is a lot of fun and great way to meet fellow travellers.
