We will departure from Mérida to the area called "Ring of Cenotes" to visit five different types of cenotes. During this tour you will discover and learn about each type of cenote. Your certified local guide will explain you the interesting ancient history behind these rocks. Upon arrival you will discover places that only in Yucatan you can find.You will have the opportunity to relax while you immerse yourself in the calm, turquoise and crystal clear waters of these amazing places. Stop At: Santa Barbara Cenotes & Restaurant, Homun Rd. 300m of dirt road after the police station, at the entrance of Homun, Homun Mexico
We will start this journey visiting an ancient Henequen farm where you will experience a different way of transportation, called ¨Truck¨ a peculiar transportation system used to transport henequen fiber in the 19th century. We will visit the three or four cenotes, where the sunlight filters through holes in the rocks and project the light on turquoise and crystalline water, offering you a visual delight and an authentic sensorial experience. You will have the opportunity to relax while you immerse yourself in the cool and calm waters. Inside you will be able to appreciate how the tree roots descend from the mainland, until they touch the water deep inside the cave in an admirable demonstration of survival.

Time for lunch: You will have 1 hour free time to have lunch either at Santa Barbara local food restaurant or arrive to Mucuyche. Don´t worry, you can decide that once you are in the tour with your guide, we are flexible.

After this amazing experience, we will continue our journey drive to the south to visit two more cenotes located in an old henequen hacienda, where you will visit its colonial buildings from the hand of a local guide learning about the history of the Yucatan haciendas, and then begin your adventure in a semi-open type cenote, a place with a history that you can not imagine. Continue the journey through a lush green canal that will take you from one cenote to another, an experience that feels like stepping into a nature movie scene. Without realizing it you will arrive at the second cavern-type cenote, where you will live an experience of the afterlife and you will enter the Mayan underworld.
