Truffle hunt and Barolo wine tasting
Truffles and Barolo, the two most representative and exclusive products of Piedmont, combined together in a 4-hour tour.
Meet the truffle hunter and the dog and walk in the woods. Hunting for white or black truffles involves walking on paths which can be slippery, muddy and occasionally steep: therefore, it is highly recommended to wear trekking boots or sporty shoes (a limited number of rubber boots can be requested at time of booking).
Truffle hunting lasts approximately 1-1.5 hours and it is held during the season of the white truffle of Alba (end of September to January) and also in summer to hunt the black truffle called “scorzone”.
Afterwards, drive to the area of production of Barolo wine. We prefer to book off-the-beaten track wineries, small to medium size, family-run where generations of hard-work and traditions are valued. Begin with a guided tour of the cellar; then, sit at the table to enjoy a wine tasting of at least four premium wines.
