1) After being picked up from your place in comfortable and private transportation, we'll head to the enchanting east side of Medellín. Our route will take us through the longest tunnel in South America, offering a unique experience as we make our way to one of the most picturesque regions in Antioquia.

We'll witness a mesmerizing transformation in the landscape. The bustling cityscape will gradually give way to charming farms nestled amidst the grandeur of the Andes mountains, this transition is truly breathtaking, immersing us in a world that feels entirely different.

Our first stop will be Alto del Chocho, a typical restaurant conveniently located along the road. Surrounded by natural splendor and stunning vistas, this establishment is renowned for its mouthwatering "Pan de quesos." It's an absolute must-visit spot, providing an ideal opportunity to stretch our legs and indulge in the delectable pan de queso.

2) After our rest stop, we'll pass by El Peñol town, the resilience and determination of its people is an example to follow, a town that rose from the ashes after a big flooding in the 1970s. The original town was completely submerged but the community refused to be defeated and decided to rebuild on higher ground, giving birth to the new town of El Peñol. Known as the "Phoenix of America," this town is a testament to the human spirit and the power of community.

3) Our next stop is truly one-of-a-kind and shrouded in mystery, the magnificent El Peñol Rock, a rock formation that reaches an impressive height of 700 feet, this natural wonder holds immense significance for local tribes, adding an air of enchantment.

For the adventurous souls among us, there's an opportunity to conquer the 740 stairs leading to the top, an awe-inspiring panorama of the surrounding landscapes awaits you, offering breathtaking views that will leave you spellbound. Keep in mind that the descent involves 740 stairs also, some of which are steep and tight, so bring comfortable shoes and prepare for a workout.

If climbing the rock isn't your cup of tea, no sweat! You can still enjoy the beauty of the Rock from the base, where magnificent views of the reservoir and mountains unfold before your eyes. You can also take time to explore the charming souvenir shops, or the many delightful spots and restaurants that offer refreshing beverages alongside stunning vistas.

4) Our next destination, the magical and colorful Guatapé Town! Guatapé's charm is evident in every corner, with houses, balconies, and parks adorned in vivid hues. The cobblestone streets, intricate ZOCALOS, and captivating staircases further add to the town's sense of wonder.

To fully immerse ourselves, we will embark on a delightful 20-30 minute walk through its charming neighborhoods. As we meander along hidden alleys, explore colorful plazas, and pass by traditional homes, we will be captivated by the town's beauty, we'll absorb not only the stunning scenery but also the proud culture that defines this extraordinary place.

After our enjoyable walk, we will find a cozy spot at the Zocalo Plaza to relax and unwind, take a moment to sip a cup of coffee or a refreshing beverage while we soak up the ambiance. As we engage in people-watching and embrace the simplicity of life, we will feel a true connection with the local way of living, just like the friendly locals do.

5) Our next stop, is the stunning Tequendamita Falls, a waterfall surrounded by the lush greenery of the forest, we'll experience the refreshing breeze and the mysterious beauty of the surroundings. The waterfall is an embodiment of the "Magical Realism" that defines the essence of Colombian culture and its connection to nature, no worries, no hiking is required.

6) One of the tour's most notable highlights is El Retiro Town, renowned for its longstanding tradition of woodworking and furniture craftsmanship that has been passed down through generations.

We'll have a short walk through its colorful neighborhoods, impressed by the intricate architecture of the houses, the charming cobblestone streets, and the ornate wooden doors, windows and balconies, we'll discover the simplicity and richness of the local life, once we get to the main square of El Retiro, we'll sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee or a beverage of preference, and just people watch like the locals do, really taking in all the cultural heritage.

*El Retiro, often referred to as the cradle of liberty, holds historical significance as it stands as the first place in Colombia where a group of African slaves were emancipated, granting them access to the highly productive gold mines.
