Traditional Mexican Cooking Class

Wahaca Cooking Classes is the best way to get to know Huatulco with a native chef, you'll learn the history behind the ingredients, traditions and life in rural Mexico.

This is more then learning to make a dish, it is a cultural immersion as well.

You'll learn to make food to feed souls, by creating food that has been passed for generations.

We'll pick you up and drive to one of the most amazing beach in Huatulco, La Bocana,
Upon arriving at Wahaca Cooking, you'll jump right in to chopping, dicing, cubing, mixing and all the activity that takes to create delicious food while sipping a refreshing hibiscus water.
You'll also learn about the history of the dishes we'll prepare, traditions and life in rural Mexico.
Once everything's ready we all seat together and enjoy the meal we have prepared while sipping margaritas freshly made from scratch. After class we'll drive you back yo your place. Recipes will be send via email.

• Empanadas - We'll make corn dough empanadas stuffed with creamy huitlacoche and squash a la mexicana.

• Green & Red Salsas - Roasted red salsa and tomatillo salsa verde
• Tortillas & Sopes - You'll learn how to master the tortilla making to a marriageable status level! Along with the traditional sopes with refried beans and queso fresco.
