Day 1: Marrakech - Kasbah ait Ben Hadou - Ouarzazate - Dades Gorge

Stop At: Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, Ait Ben Haddou 45122 Morocco
Begin your journey traversing the scenic High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi n'Tichka pass. The first major stop is the iconic Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, famed for its traditional Moroccan earthen clay architecture and as a backdrop for many Hollywood films. After exploring the kasbah, continue through Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara Desert, and onto the Valley of Roses, culminating in the breathtaking Dades Gorges. Spend the night in a traditional riad or guesthouse, soaking in the serene beauty of the Dades Valley.

Take a moment to appreciate the tranquility and sheer scale of the gorge before venturing deeper into the desert landscape. The journey proceeds to Merzouga, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi await. Here, you'll embark on a camel trek to a desert camp nestled amidst the dunes, where you can enjoy a starlit dinner and spend the night in a traditional nomadic tent.

The return trip offers a different route, showcasing the unique landscapes of Alnif and Nkob, before entering the Draa Valley, Morocco's date basket with its vast palm groves. The journey comes full circle as you return to Marrakech in the evening, enriched by the sights, sounds, and memories of a truly magical Moroccan adventure.
