Itinerary

Day 1: Desert Tour: Fez to Merzouga

Stop At: Medina of Fez, Fes 30000 Morocco
Around 7:30am, your English, French & Spanish speaking driver-guide will pick you up from your accommodation.
Hop inside a very comfortable, air-conditioned minivan with a very small group, maximum 7 travelers.
Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Ifrane, Ifrane, Fes-Meknes
Along the way, there will be many stops to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Morocco, with a break for lunch.
Our first stop is in Ifrane for a coffee break, and then time to wander around the city. Tidy, ordered and modern, it feels more like Switzerland relocated to the Middle Atlas Mountains than North Africa.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Azrou Cedar Forest, Azrou Morocco
Next, we will make a stop in the cedar forest of Azrou, inhabited by friendly macaque monkeys, eagerly waiting along the roadside for passengers to feed them.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Midelt, Midelt, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
Arriving in Midelt and have a 45 minute break for lunch in a local restaurant with many options to taste delicious Moroccan food.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Errachidia, Errachidia, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
Continuing south, you will start to notice dramatic changes in the landscape, from mountainous and green to rocky and dry.
Before the town of Errachidia, we will stop at a viewing point to enjoy the panoramic view of a long-stretching oasis of palm trees.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Merzouga, Merzouga, Draa-Tafilalet
Arriving in Merzouga, you will hop on your camel for a 45 minute journey through golden towering dunes to your desert camp.
Once you arrive at the camp, you can hike up one of the dunes to witness the magical sunset.
After dinner served and followed by a live drum show.
Duration: 2 hours

Day 2: Desert Tour: Merzouga to Marrakech or back to Fez

Stop At: Merzouga, Merzouga, Draa-Tafilalet
An early wake-up to watch the dreamiest sunrise.
Ride your camel back to a hotel on the edge of the sand dunes for breakfast and a shower. and then depart for Marrakech or back to Fez
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Marrakech, Marrakech, Marrakech-Safi
Depart either to Marrakech via Ouarzazate or back to Fez
Duration: 7 hours
