Stop At: Tashichho Dzong (Thimpu Dzong), Chhagchhen Lam, Thimphu Bhutan
visit Tashichho Dzong (Fortress) known as “fortress of the glorious religion,”. It houses the main secretariat building and the central monk body.

Stop At: Thangthong Dewachen Nunnery, Gadhen lam, Thimphu Bhutan
Built more than half a century ago, Zilukha Nunnery is also known as Druthob Goemba. Housing around 60 nuns in its premises, a visit to the site energizes the soul because of its peaceful surroundings, which lures one's mind to never leave the site. From here, the spectacular view of Tashichho Dzong can be captured in a camera to make for a beautiful photo album.

The Motithang Takin Preserve is a wildlife reserve located in Motithang, Thimphu, Bhutan. It is dedicated to the preservation and protection of the takin, which is the national animal of Bhutan. The takin is a unique and rare animal, often described as a cross between a goat and a cow.

The Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory is located in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Established in 1990 under the guidance of the Queen Mother of Bhutan, Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, the factory plays a significant role in preserving the traditional art of Bhutanese papermaking.
This factory produces handmade paper using traditional techniques that have been passed down through generations. The paper is made from the bark of the daphne tree, locally known as "Desho," which is abundant in the Bhutanese countryside. The process of making the paper involves harvesting the bark, soaking it in water, boiling it to soften the fibers, and then beating it into a pulp. The pulp is then spread out onto wooden frames to dry in the sun.

Day 2: Thimphu - PunakhaStop At: Buddha Dordenma, Kuensel Phodrang Viewing Point, Thimphu 11001 Bhutan
visit Kuensel Phodrang where big Buddha Statue is built. From there you get the best view of Thimphu valley with the mountain behind.

on the way stop over the Dochu-La Pass (3,100 meters), which on a clear day offers an incredible view of Himalayan peaks snowclad mountains from the pass. The beauty of this place is further enhanced by the Druk Wangyel Chorten – 108 stupas.

Chimi Lhakhang, temple of Fertility blessed by Lam Drukpa Kuenley, who is known as the Divine Madman for his eccentric behaviours. He is also considered a symbol of fertility and many childless couples go to his temple for blessing.

Punakha Dzong, also known as Pungtang Dechen Photrang Dzong, is one of the most beautiful and important dzongs in Bhutan. One of the most iconic dzongs in Bhutan is situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu (father) and Mo Chhu (mother) rivers, the dzong is an architectural masterpiece with intricate woodwork and vibrant murals. It is arguably one of the most beautiful dzongs in the country.

Spanning 160m over the Phochu River, and connects the Punakha Dzong (fortress) with the nearby villages and agricultural lands. The bridge gently sways in the wind offering an extra touch of thrill to your journey. The bridge is located just a short walk from the iconic Punakha Dzong and it treats you to breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, river, and the Punakha Dzong itself, making it a favorite spot for visitors to take photos and enjoy the scenery.

Day 3: Punakha - ParoStop At: Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, Punakha Bhutan
The Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten is a stunning Buddhist shrine situated on a ridge above the Punakha Valley, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and rice fields. The trail winds through lush rice paddies, small villages, and across a suspension bridge over the Mo Chhu River before ascending towards the chorten. Along the trail, hikers are treated to breathtaking views of the Punakha Valley and the surrounding countryside. The landscape is dotted with terraced fields, traditional Bhutanese farmhouses, and pristine forests, providing ample opportunities for photography and enjoying nature. The chorten itself is a magnificent example of Bhutanese architecture and craftsmanship. Built to promote peace and prosperity, the four-story structure is adorned with intricate paintings and statues depicting Buddhist deities. The hike to the Khamsum Yulley Chorten is relatively moderate and takes about 1-1.5 hours each way, depending on your pace.

Stop At: Rinpung Dzong, Paro Bhutan
Paro Rinpung Dzong is a striking fortress and monastery located in the Paro Valley of Bhutan. Paro Rinpung Dzong is situated on the banks of the Paro River. The dzong, originally built in the 15th century, has a rich history deeply intertwined with Bhutanese culture and politics. It was established by the Tibetan Buddhist master, Ngawang Chogyel, to defend the Paro Valley against Tibetan invasions. Paro Rinpung Dzong is host to several annual religious festivals, including the famous Paro Tsechu. During these festivals, monks perform sacred masked dances and rituals, attracting thousands of pilgrims and spectators from all over Bhutan.
Paro Rinpung Dzong is set against a backdrop of lush green hills and towering mountains, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The picturesque setting adds to the charm and allure of the dzong.

Stop At: National Museum, Tag-Dzong Rinpung Dzong, Paro 12001 Bhutan
The Paro National Museum, also known as the Ta Dzong, is a prominent cultural institution situated on top of a hill overlooking the Paro Valley, adjacent to the Paro Rinpung Dzong. Its strategic location provides panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
The museum is housed in a former watchtower, known as the Ta Dzong, which dates back to the 17th century. It was originally built to defend the Paro Rinpung Dzong and the Paro Valley from external threats. In 1968, it was converted into the National Museum to preserve and showcase Bhutanese art, culture, and heritage.
The museum’s exhibits offer insight into Bhutanese history, religion, art, and culture. Visitors can explore a diverse range of artifacts, including ancient manuscripts, religious relics, traditional costumes, ceremonial masks, intricate thangka paintings, and exquisite handicrafts.

Day 4: ParoStop At: Paro Taktsang, Taktsang Trail, Paro Bhutan
hike to Taktsang Monastery, the wooded structure stands bravely on a cliff in the upper Paro Valley. The walk of approximately 2 to 2.5 hours one way. It is said that the great Guru Rinpoche have flown here on the back of a tigress and set up this monastery when he brought the teachings of the Buddhist Dharma to Bhutan in the 8th Century.
