Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Paro by Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines

Stop At: Clock Tower Square, Hogdzin Lam, Thimphu Bhutan
Centre of Thimphu city, has a click tower surrounded by shops and hotel, I guess something to see while in Thimphu but disappointing, broken pavement stones with large potholes, litter and construction going on. A few upmarket coffee shops for tourists surrounding the square.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Tashichho Dzong (Thimpu Dzong), Chhagchhen Lam, Thimphu Bhutan
Tashichho Dzong is a Buddhist monastery and fortress on the northern edge of the city of Thimphu in Bhutan, on the western bank of the Wang Chu.
Duration: 1 hour

Meals included:

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing

Stop At: Buddha Dordenma, Kuensel Phodrang Viewing Point, Thimphu 11001 Bhutan
The Buddha Dordenma is the largest sitting statue of the Buddha yetasuring in at measuring 51.5 meters in height and made of solid bronze. Inside the Buddha are 125,000 smaller Bhuddha statues, 25,000 12 inch statues and 100,000 8 inch statues. Tourists often drive once to see it as its view is without a doubt outstanding as the giant Buddha although large is not opposing but rather has a calm and assuring look.

Stop At: Motithang Takin Preserve, Thimphu Bhutan
Motithang Takin Preserve, located in the Motithang district of Thimphu, Bhutan is a wildlife reserve area for Bhutan takin, the national animal of Bhutan. Originally a mini-zoo, it was converted into a preserve when it was discovered that the animals refrained from inhabiting the surrounding forest even when set free.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Thangthong Dewachen Nunnery, Gadhen lam, Thimphu Bhutan
Thangthong Dewachen Nunnery is a Buddhist monastery in the small Himalayan country of Bhutan. The nunnery is located in Zilukha overlooking Tashichodzong and is a few minutes’ drive from the town. It is popularly known as the Zilukha Anim Dratshang.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Jungshi handmade paper factory, FJFV+7J9, Thimphu, Bhutan
This small factory produces traditional Bhutanese paper handmade from the bark of the daphne bush. You can see the whole process

Stop At: National Library and Archives of Bhutan, Pedzoe Lam, Thimphu Bhutan
The National Library of Bhutan, located in Thimphu, Bhutan, was established in 1967 for the purpose of "preservation and promotion of the rich cultural and religious heritage" of Bhutan.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Folk Heritage Museum Kawajangsa, FJMJ+2R7, Thimphu, Bhutan
The museum is housed in a 3-story 19th century traditional rammed mud and timber house aged more than 150 years. It includes paddy, wheat and millet fields, watermill, kitchen gardens, hot stone bath etc. The ground floor resembles barn, the upper floor resembles safe store and the top most floor resembles living and dining area.

Stop At: National Memorial Chhorten རྒྱལ་ཡོངས་རྗེས་དྲན་མཆོད་རྟེན།, FJ8Q+J47, Chhoten Lam, Thimphu, Bhutan
The Memorial Stupa, Thimphu, also known as the Thimphu Chorten, is a stupa in Thimphu, Bhutan, located on Doeboom Lam in the southern-central part of the city near the main roundabout and Indian military hospital.
Duration: 30 minutes

Day 3: Thimphu To Punakha

Stop At: Dochula Pass, Thimphu Bhutan
The Dochu La is a mountain pass in the snow covered Himalayas within Bhutan on the road from Thimphu to Punakha where 108 memorial chortens or stupas known as "Druk Wangyal Chortens" have been built by Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk, the eldest Queen Mother.

Stop At: Chimi Lhakhang Temple, Punakha Bhutan
Chimi Lhakhang, also known as Chime Lhakhang or Monastery or temple, is a Buddhist monastery in Punakha District, Bhutan. Located near Lobesa, it stands on a round hillock and was founded and built in 1499 by the Drukpa Kagyu lama Ngawang Chogyal, who was the 14th abbot of Ralung Monastery.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Punakha Dzong, Punakha 13001 Bhutan
The Punakha Dzong, also known as Pungthang Dewa chhenbi Phodrang, is the administrative centre of Punakha District in Punakha, Bhutan. Constructed by Ngawang Namgyal, 1st Zhabdrung Rinpoche, in 1637–38, it is the second oldest and second-largest dzong in Bhutan and one of its most majestic structures.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Punakha Suspension Bridge, Punakha Dzong, Punakha 13001 Bhutan
A long metal bridge over a mountain river, decorated with colorful Buddhist prayer flags.

Day 4: Punakha To Paro

Stop At: Chuzom Highway, Chuzom, 8G7X+M3F, Tenchhekha, Bhutan
Chuzom serves as the main check post for Thimphu, Paro, Haa and Phuntsholing highway. Chuzom literally means a place where rivers join together.
Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Tachog Lhakhang, Bhutan
Tachog (also referred as Tashog or Tamchhog) Lhakhang is small private temple and traditional suspension bridge located some 15 km on the way from Paro town to Thimphu. It was built in 16th century by Tibetan saint Thangton Gampo (also referred as Thang Tong Gyalpo).
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Rinpung Dzong, Paro Bhutan
Rinpung Dzong, sometimes referred to as Paro Dzong, is a large dzong - Buddhist monastery and fortress - of the Drukpa Lineage of the Kagyu school in Paro District, Bhutan. It houses the district Monastic Body as well as government administrative offices of Paro Dzongkhag.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: National Museum of Bhutan འབྲུག་གི་འགྲེམས་སྟོན་ཁང་།, CCHG+F5G, Paro, Bhutan
National Museum of Bhutan is a cultural museum in the town of Paro in western Bhutan. Established in 1968, in the renovated ancient Ta-dzong building, above Rinpung Dzong under the command of His Majesty, the King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the third hereditary Monarch of Bhutan.

Day 5: Paro Sightseeing

Stop At: Paro Taktsang, Taktsang Trail, Paro Bhutan
Paro Taktsang, is a sacred Vajrayana Himalayan Buddhist site located in the cliffside of the upper Paro valley in Bhutan. It is one of thirteen Tiger's Nest caves in historical Tibet in which Padmasambhava practiced and taught Vajrayana.
Duration: 5 hours

Stop At: Kyichu Lhakhang, Lamgong Gewog, Paro 12001 Bhutan
Kyichu Lhakhang is located in the north of Paro town. It is the oldest and one of the most beautiful temples in Bhutan.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 6: Departure

Stop At: Paro Airport Bird's Eye View Point, Paro Bhutan
It is located on the Hill overlooking the airport, this viewpoint offers the best view of the whole airport. It is nice place to see and continued proceed to airport for departure
