Visit: Tambopata National Reserve Peru
You will visit the Sandoval lake which is located in the heart of Tambopata National Reserve.
You will be picked up from your hotel and taken by car to the river Madre de Dios where a motor boat will be awaiting you to drive you to the National Reserve of Tambopata.
After passing the entrance of the park you will take a hike through the jungle about 3 km until reaching the lake. During the walk you will learn about the trees and medicinal plants you will observe the wild life which surrounds you such as squirrel monkey,red howler monkey,macaws and what will cross your path. In the jungle you never know. At the lake you will go on canoe around the lake learning about the wild life which lives here swuch as turtles, black caimans, brown cappuccine monkey, bird kingdom such as osprey, hoatzin, herons and of course you will be searching for the endangered giant otters. At the lake you will make a stop at a lodge to enjoy your lunch. After a short rest you will return to the lake heading towards the new constructed Overlook Tower where you will enjoy the amazing view observe nature from high in the trees learn about the different forests we are having in this region...Then returning to the canoe and exploring the other side of the shore of the lake spotting birds such as anghila and cormorant slowly reaching the Port from where the lake trip has started. Now hiking back to the river observing the afternoon wildlife maybe a sloth or monkey. When you arrive back at the river a boat will be awaiting you there to take you back to town.
