Itinerary

Day 1: Hua Hin - Prachuabkirikhan - Ranong

Stop At: Khao Chong Krachok Temple, Sao Noi Rd, Prachuap Khiri Khan 77000 Thailand
visit the Mirror Mountain “Khao Chong Krajok” and have a nice overview over the Prachuab Bay. A lengthy climb up a stairway brings you to Wat Thammikaram that was established by King Rama VI. Here you will have spectacular views over the town and surrounding area. NOTE: there are hordes of monkeys here, so be careful of your belongings.

Stop At: City Pillar Shrine - Prachuap Kiri Khan, Phi Thak Chat Road, Prachuap Khiri Khan 77210 Thailand
Prachuap Khiri Khan City Pillar Shrine is located on Sala Chip Road, opposite the city hall. It was constructed in the Lop Buri style of art during the period when Pol. Sub-Lt. Amnuai Thaiyanon was governor of the province. His Majesty the King had HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn attend the opening ceremony of this shrine on 20 August, 1994. The shrine is the symbol of auspices and prosperity of the city.

Stop At: Kho Khot Kra or Kra Isthmus, Ban Thap Li Mamu, Kra Buri Thailand
The Kra Isthmus is the narrowest part of the Malay Peninsula. It is located in Ban Thap Li, Lamu Subdistrict, Ranong and Sawi District, Chumphon, around the 545th milestone of Highway 4, about sixty-six kilometers from Ranong Town. Found to the west of the isthmus is the Kra Buri River, a natural border between Thailand and Myanmar. With a width of only one hundred meters, the river is used for travelling between the two countries by locals. The sign of the Kra Isthmus is located at the Kra Isthmus in Ranong. It is one of the province's most popular places where visitors like to take photos. Besides, near the sign is a viewpoint where you can get a beautiful view of the Kra Buri River the border between Thailand and Myanmar.

Day 2: Ranong

Stop At: Rattana Rangsan Palace, Soi Luvung, Tambon Khao Niwet, Amphoe Mueang Ranong, Chang Wat Ranong 85000, Thailand
Visit Rattana Rangsan Throne Hall & Rangsan Palace and Hor Phra Ke Ji Temple.
Rattana Rangsan Throne Hall is located at the Rattana Rangsan foothill, Tambon Khao Niwet. This throne hall was re-built in memory of royal visits by 3 kings: namely, King Rama V the Great (1890), King Rama VI (1909), and King Rama VII (1928). It is an essential tourist spot of Ranong province, it was built of teakwood and iron wood. On display inside the throne hall include royal chambers of King Rama V (3rd Fl.) and the Queen (2nd Fl.), totally six rooms: a pentagon building, an audience hall, a connection bridge between the royal office area and the pentagon building, royal accessories, and lanterns.

Stop At: Ranong Governor's Residence, XJ8Q+9XM, Khao Niwet, Mueang Ranong District, Ranong 85000, Thailand
Governor's Residence is located on Rueangrat road. The Ranong Governor's Residence was constructed in the time of Phraya Damrong Sucharit Mahison Phakdi (Kho Su Chiang) after the Chinese Coolie Rebellion in 1877. This residence was declared a national ancient monument by the Fine Arts Department on 18 December 1996. The fascinating part is the Na Ranong's Family Ancestors' Shrine.

Visit Suwankiri Temple and Golden Shwedagon Pagoda.
The temple is over one hundred years old and is the very first temple that was built in the province. Within the temple there are countless Myanmar art forms and architecture which are worth paying a visit for. There is also a standing image with spectacular designs and an incredible Bell which is adorned with cat figure engravings.

Visit Hot Springs and Raksawarin Public Park.
These natural hot springs have been a popular tourist spot ever since King Rama V visited Ranong in 1890. There are three hot springs in the same area and it's all hot at 65 degree Celsius. It is the only hot spring in Thailand that is so pure because it is not contaminated at all with sulfur, which allows visitors to drink the water directly at the hot spring. There are bathing facilities for visitors and a thermal spa that is so refreshing.

Day 3: Ranong – Nam Ngao - Ranong

Visit Ranong Archipelago National Park.
Muko Ranong National Park is located at 192 Mu 4. Tambon Ngao, was formerly known as Muko Phayam National Park and renamed by the National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department on 23 February 2010. It covers a coastal area, which includes evergreen forests, mangrove forests and beaches

Stop At: Mangrove Arboretum, QGGW+55H, Ratchakrut, Mueang Ranong District, Ranong 85000, Thailand
Visit Mangrove Arboretum.
The arboretum was a demonstration project where its tree planting began in March 1983. Later, in 1985 it was transformed into a mangrove arboretum, aiming to facilitate educational excursions. It has a botanical path of 1,500 meters. There are more than twenty-five mangrove plant types out of the world's sixty-eight including the Tabun Dum Yak which is over two hundred years old. This arboretum is the most pristine mangrove in Thailand. Other than exploring an untouched mangrove, visitors can also enjoy seeing wild monkeys, a large variety of marine life, prawns, seashells, fish, and crabs as well as otters and exotic lizards. There are also many types of birds here such as hawks, cormorants, and fish-eating birds. The office has recently built a bridge for visitors to experience nature at a closer view.

Located in Tambon Ngao in the vicinity of Khlong Phrao National Park, the steep Ngao Waterfall can be seen from a great distance away because of its commanding height at three hundred meters. The adventure here includes trekking to the summit of the waterfall. There are many waterfalls in the area such as Nam Tok Klong Pera and Nam Tok Bang Rin which are both stunning like Ngao Waterfall. Another attraction is a hot spring called Bo Nam Ron Pon Rung. It's the soil hot spring that has the wellspring as much as thirteen wells. There are bathing facilities service for visitors as well as foot bath.

Visit Cashew Nut Factory.
Cashew nuts are a large crop of Southern Thailand and grow mainly in the provinces of Nakorn Sri Thamarat, Krabi and Ranong. Each individual nut emanates from the end of a fleshy red fruit. The cashew fruit which can be eaten raw – it is slightly sour and leaves the mouth feeling dry – is used more frequently in local curries and stir fries or is discarded. The nut, which is encased in a hard shell, is harvested, and sold for processing.

Day 4: Ranong – Punyaban Waterfall-Kraburi National Park – Hua Hin

Stop At: Punyaban Waterfall, Kraburi-Ranong Road Bang Non, Ranong Thailand
Namtok Punyaban, formerly known as Namtok Settakuat, is a 20-metre-high waterfall located at Mu 1 Tambon Bang Non. A nature trek of three hundred meters is provided for visitors to relax among the freshness of the tropical forest.

Stop At: Lamnam Kra Buri National Park, 3MM7+R8Q, Pak Nam, Mueang Ranong District, Ranong, Thailand
Lamnam Kra Buri National Park is located at 130 Mu 3 Ban Hin Chang, Tambon Paknam, covering an area of 2,061,278 rai in Amphoe Mueang Ranong, Amphoe Kra Buri and Amphoe La-un of Ranong province. Encompassing a moist evergreen forest area with biodiversity of flora and fauna, it was proclaimed a national park on 21 April 1999.

Stop At: La-un, La-un, Ranong Province
Khao Fa Chi resides in a small harmonious District of Bang Kaew along Petch Kasem Highway. It is under the governance of La-un-County. Khao Fa Chi is located at the spot where La-un canal flows into the Kra Buri River and a cove which separates Ranong from Myanmar. The name Fa Chi refers to a dome (used in covering dishes) which is where the mountain adopted its name, being dome shaped. It is 259 meters above sea level and is prime viewpoint for experiencing panoramic scenery of sunsets across the Kra Buri River flowing into the sparkling Andaman Sea. The peak of the mountain offers a wide view of Myanmar and little islands in the sea.
