World War II Historic e-Bike Tour in Bodø

Join in! A comfortable eBike ride allows us to visit historic WW2 sites with ease and within a reasonable time range.

Entering a machine gun bunker and a restored Luftwaffe communications bunker (museum - provided it is open!) are two of our highlights. And in between those we visit several places with both well known and more hidden stories from the second world war. The Napoleon wars are also worth mentioning. . .

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Bodo Domkirke, Torv Gate 12 Postboks 198, Bodo 8001 Norway

At the cathedral we stop and relive the bombing of the city on May 27th 1940, including what happened at and with the church itself.

Duration: 5 minutes

Pass By: Norwegian Aviation Museum, Olav V gt., Bodo 8004 Norway

As we pass the Norwegian Aviation Museum we make a short stop outside.

Stop At: Bodosjoen Friluftsomrade, Bodo Norway

At Bodøsjøen we visit the outdoors museum with a collection of historic buildings and their stories.

Duration: 10 minutes

Pass By: Jektefartsmuseet, Kvernhusveien 26, 8070 Bodø, Norway

While at Bodøsjøen we watch the Jekt (a boat type) trade museum from outside with its stories of fish and trade.

Stop At: Bodo Bunkermuseum, Edvardsons vei 7, Bodo 8010 Norway

The restored Luftwaffe communication bunker at Jentofthaugen is really an experience. As a museum run by volunteers, we can not promise that it is open - but if it is we do visit.

This museum is only open 2 days a week during summer and the guide is a volunteer. We will not go there as a part of the tour as such - but after our tour you can rent a bike to go there on your own if it is open. We will help you find it.
