10/10
Awesome vacation. Transportation and guides were prompt. Tours were very informational. Guides knew the history. Felt a little rushed during Machu Picchu tour but still great experience. All hotels were clean and in great locations for walking. Favorite was floating islands on Lake Titicaca and island of Tequile. Best trip.
Well organized, excellent , very knowledgeable guides, small groups, focused on the best and most interesting the Cusco and Puno regions have to offer
A must do for all to see and to learn about there culture from the past to the way the Peruvian life outside of the big cities
From start to finish, the tour operators, guides, hoteliers, drivers, and everyone in-between was helpful, courteous, and attentive. The experience was wonderful in itself, but the people around us made it all the more better. October weather was perfect (for us), as it only rained a couple of times, and at night. Well worth every penny. THANK YOU!
The guides were very knowledgeable, could answer any question thrown their way. The days started early and sometimes were exhausting, but we learned and saw so much. We were greeted by Luis and Ramon and then had escorts Mateo and Erick later. I cannot recall the name of the lake guide, but he was wonderful too. We were very impressed with the attractions.
This tour exceeded our expectations in every way. It was a great way to see the highlights of Peru, especially if you only have a short time and want to make the most of it. We loved the Sacred Valley, Cusco, Machupicchu, Puno, and Lake Titicaca! From our pickup at the airport in Cusco to our drop off at the airport in Juliaca, the tour was well organized and the guides and drivers were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Every day was filled with moments of beauty and magic. A special thank you to: Fredi, Gary, Ignacio, Ivan and Nestor each of you helped to make our trip to Peru perfect! I will never forget my first glimpse of Machupicchu or dancing with the people of Taquile Island - just wonderful!
From start to finish this tour was great, tiring, but great! Machu Pichu was just incredible, our highlight of the tour really. A lot more up and down climbing than expected but no big deal. Temperature was actually very warm but comfortable. Lake Titicaca floating islands were amazing. We loved Cusco too!
The most organized, informational, educational, relaxing, trip. No need to worry about logistics, tickets, transfers, reservations, baggage, so stress free! We took this tour for our 10 year anniversary so we did think it was ironic we got rooms 2 nights with twin beds and had to sleep separately :
But guides are very knowledgeable, friendly, professional and all around awesome. Would book a longer tour next time if we have another opportunity to visit Peru.
Machu Picchu was amazing! In fact, most everything about this tour was great. We didn't enjoy the home stay with the Peruvian family. You had a grueling walk up to the house, and they didn't know any English which made communication hard. The food was excellent, but It was below freezing that night and they didn't have heat, or hot water. She boiled some water, for tea, but we weren't about to take a shower in freezing cold water. I would do this tour again, but leave off the home stay because It wasn't any fun at all.
I had a great trip.
Fredi the tour organizer, is great.
Everything is well organized and as detailed in the TripAdvisor.
I stayed 3 days in Lima prior to going to Cusco.
You have to be ready, according to the schedule timings.
Peru is a great place to visit and Machu Picchu is the crown Jewel.
Unfortunately this trip was spoilt by striking teachers blocking roads and railways making it difficult to travel so we were fortunate to see everything if only for a shorter time. I can only say how great the host company was in continually re arranging tours and time tables on a daily basis. It would have been easy for them to claim the strike was beyond their control but they went out of their way to change the plans daily to beat the strikers even arranging two over night bus trips to avoid them. We are very grateful for their efforts and in spite of a very stressful and tiring experience we really enjoyed the visit and will probably return.
Great experience! The tour guides were subject experts and their coverage was very informative, passionate and in great depth!
We learned so much in such a short time! The organization was quite good, we were guided every step of the way and provided very detailed and descriptive schedule. There were no delays or cancellations! Special thanks to Fredi who did everything possible to make sure everything was smooth and according to plan! He was also quite flexible and accommodating - we added an extra day and few small modifications to the itinerary.
Two recommendations:
- If we are to go on the same trip, I would definitely upgrade to 4-star hotels we opted for 3. While the location of each hotel was amazing, we had some issues with wifi no connection for 2 days in the hotel in Puno, heater issues in the room Puno, not consistent water temperature. I would presume these problems would not be an issue in 4-star hotels.
- The trip from Cusco to Puno is long - it takes a whole day by bus. We did enjoy the trip as there were some stops in interesting locations along the way. If we were to do the trip again, I would fly to Lima from Juliaca instead of taking the bus back as going back the same way, felt like wasting a day.
Special thanks to Fredi and the guides Edson and Israel!
Very well organized trip. Punctal and friendly guides beautiful country. It was an amazing trip. Everything went according to the plan. Delicious food. Thank you Viator for choosing such a professional local team to work with.
Had a wonderful trip. Freddie was great to work with and he made sure everything is taken care of. The only glitch we had was the tour guy who took us to Machu Picchu - he was very detailed and talked about the history etc however I would have preferred walking along while he talked instead of standing there in one spot for over 30 minutes.
My parents and I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure. Mr. Fredi as coordinator of the entire tour was very adept and really attended to our needs. The accommodations were good for 3-star hotels, starting at Cusco where the hotel was strategically within walking distance to the city center. We could eat, shop and walk around easily. The hotel at Aguas Calientes was just next to the train station, and the hotel in Puno has everything you'd need if you don't feel like going elsewhere--restaurant that serves delicious local peruvian meals as well as western food, a souvenir shop, and helpful staff.
Basically everything went on time as long as we're alert and follow the instructions of when and where we'd be picked up.
The first ride through the Sacred Valley with Ricardo was a good choice after arrival. We got to see breathtaking views, learn about the alpacas, llamas and the traditional weavings. Ollantaytambo is definitely worth the hike!
Machu Picchu is definitely the highlight and our guide, Carlos, made it fun. He took us around with ease and good pace my parents are 70 years old and provided great information and tidbits along the way that made things more interesting. He also knows the great spots for photo ops and has a fun, joyful way to make everything so much more memorable.
Our bus ride to Puno with stops at Andahuaylillas the Chapel, Raqchi, and Puraka archaeological sites with Jose as the guide was also pleasant. We got to see more sites to explore about the Incas. And the guinea pigs! That's something to wonder at.
Puno is a must see..Lake Titicaca is beautiful, and the Uros Islands are such a creative craftsmanship. My mother couldn't make it to the top of Tequile island, though, since the hikes are quite steep for people not used to the altitude and with not optimal physique. But I made it, and the view was worth the hike! The island is tranquil with its own unique landscape--against the background of the clear blue lake--spectacular.
This tour is just what we needed for our holiday. Thanks for the unforgettable experience!
Amazing experience. Peru is a beautiful place and with this tour me and my friends had the chance to experience so many diversities that this country has to given. Of course you can't miss Machu Picchu but also the night spent in Titicaca island is remarkable. We did the tour in June and we faced different weather from a chilly Cusco to a warmer Puno, but always sunny. Troughout this tour you'll see how different the landscape is in Peru. Also the people are really polite and ready to offer you tips and secrets of the country.
This was an amazing tour! Fredi, the coordinator, took care of everything! We never had to worry about what was next or how to get from point A to B and we saw most of the highlights of the country. For the most part, the tours were either in small groups or one-on-one, although there were some large group tours to Puno and Lake Titicaca. There was quite a bit of traveling, but it went pretty fast most of the time. We opted for the home stay one night and it was a very unique experience that I'm glad was an option. All of the drivers and tour guides were amazing, especially Ricardo, Wilfredo, and one female guide that I do not remember the name of. Would definitely recommend and will absolutely seek out Fredi if we return. The trip was fabulously organized, accommodating, and an unforgettable experience.
The 6-day program was structured around several independent trips with different guides and tourist groups, returning to Cusco on 3 of the 6 nights. It included the Sacred Valley and the town Pisaq the town Ollantaytambo Sun Temple a return train ride to Aguas Calientes, near Machu Picchu the 30 minute bus trip from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu with a 2.5 hour guided tour, where-after there is sufficient time to explore the site privately a 10-hour bus trip to Puno a boat trip to the floating islands and the island Taquile on Lake Titicaca with a very interesting cultural program and finally on Day 6 a 6-hour bus trip back to Cusco I would skip this this last day and fly out from Puno to Lima to avoid the return trip to Cusco, although the landscape is stunning.
We had a main contact person, Fredi, a very competent and helpful professional guide who was contactable via phone, WhatsApp and email. He made use of several individual guides for the respective trips and all were highly knowledgeable, competent, punctual and professional. They were equally comfortable with locals and tourists and displayed a great sense of humor. Their passion and pride for Peru and its various cultures was striking. Accommodation was arranged by the organizers in 3-star hotels all can be recommended. There were numerous very interesting stops at archeological sites and we can fully recommend this trip.
This tour was everything we wanted it to be. Fredi was very helpful, friendly and reliable, everything was planned for us to precision, the accommodation was good and overall it was great value for money. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Fredi put together a package that gives you the best of Peru, at the right price.
The hotel accommodation were good. Every time we had to be met by someone they were punctual and reliable.
I can really recommend this package to experience Peru without the worries of making your own arrangements.
As the title says- It's the best of Peru crammed into 6 days. The company that does the tours are excellent with the logistics. The hotels were very good, the guides were also very friendly. This tour will make sure you do everything on your Peru bucket list, and more. Fredi does a wonderful job to make sure your stay is as comfortable, enjoyable, and hassle-free as possible. Highly recommend this tour instead of dancing around trying to make a bunch of other tours work out because Fredi will do the work for you. It will make Peru a lot more enjoyable than it already is.
It was a great experience. Fredi and his team did a great job !
Highly recommended.
My husband and I recently booked this tour and had a wonderful and eventful time. Our travel expert,Fredi Llamacponcca Huanca, did a wonderful and professional job in the complete tour. We even booked a 3 day excursion outside of this agency and he made sure we had transportation and lodging that fit into this current excursion schedule. We were very happy with this trip and highly recommend this to others who are thinking of taking this trip.
The trip is well organized, especially pick up at airport , hotel, bus stations. The highlight to us was visiting 4 islands at Titicaca lake instead of Machupichu. Puno, our guide at Titicaca Lake , is very knowledgeable and gave us the history and culture of each island. He explained to us the plantation along the walking path. He organized us a culture dance and we wore traditional dress and learnt the amanyani dance. The overnight bus back from puno to Cusco is very comfortable. The seat was roomy and we have a lot of leg room.
