Our starting point is also the only "real" old town of Berlin. But how old is it actually, especially having a war with rain of bombs in mind-

Stop At: Stiftung Neue Synagoge Berlin - Centrum Judaicum, Oranienburger Str. 28 - 30, 10117 Berlin Germany

Listen to the story of civil courage, in which a police officer saved this marvelous building in the night of broken glass.

Pass By: Koppenplatz, Berlin Germany

Here you can find a memorial for the victims of deportation and the Holocaust, designed in GDR times and in harsh contrast to the more well known memorial close to Brandenburg Gate.

Stop At: Memorial of the Berlin Wall, Bernauer Strasse 111, 13355 Berlin Germany

There are three spots, where the Wall is "still alive" - this is the only part, where you can really understand and expirience what the Wall meant and did to Berlin. Edutainment at it's best.

Today commonly known for it's Sunday's flea market, this place shows how the city, tortured by the Wall for 28 years, turned into an oasis of free expression.

Once a giant fortress and air-raid-shelter, it offers a fantastic panoramic view and insights into Nazi-architecture.

Stop At: Gunter Litfin Memorial, Kieler Str. 2, 10115 Berlin Germany

This original watchtower got preserved to remember Günter Litfin, the first person who got shot at The Wall.

Stop At: Invalidenfriedhof, Scharnhorststrasse, Berlin Germany

Cut in the middle by The Wall, this burial place was made for prussian heroes of German military history. It focuses on escape stories, since it is close to multiple former Checkpoints and a canal which was a natural border for east and west Berlin.

Stop At: Spreebogenpark, Ludwig-Erhard-Ufer, Berlin Germany

From here you have the perfect overview over the governing distrcit of Germany with all it has to offer. Not only what you see is interesting though, but here we also discuss the plans of Hitler's architect Albert Speer and his vision to build the Great Hall, which would have had enough room to fit 180.000 people.

Here we stop to discuss Hitler's grab of power and Germany's democratic history. We do not have time to go inside but can get the best of it from the outside.

Stop At: The Holocaust Memorial - Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, Cora-Berliner-Strasse 1, 10117 Berlin Germany

This biggest genocide memorial in the world, created by the ones responsible for the killing. It's size and importance to history are incredible.

The place where Hitler hid during the last weeks of war and eventually committed suicide.
All you can see today, is a parking lot. We explain why.

**Only in the english Version of the tour.** The most famous border station of the cold war, since it was the only shared one between the USA and USSR. Because of that, there was a point in time when the third world war almost started right here in the heart of Berlin.
