Discover South Crete from Rethymnon - follow the tradition

Follow us through the savage natural landscape of Crete which makes your soul fill full of power. We will start from the dam of the rivers at the lake, we will end up to the breathtaking full of plants gorge of Saint Antonios with a small church in the rocky cave. We will pass through some traditional villages and we will stop to take pictures at the higher point of the area, viewing the North and the South Rethymno and the two highest mountains of Crete. Τhen we will visit a botanical garden for a 40-minutes guided tour. You will discover plants and flowers of Crete, famous for their healing properties. At the end of that tour we will have a tea to enjoy and smell the magic of Cretan nature.We continue direction Spili (a famous village for its natural springs), we will visit the folklore museum. As long as we cross the imposing gorge of Kourtaliotis we will move towards Plakias beach for swimming and lunch with view to the South Cretan Sea.

Stop At: St. Anthony Gorge (Gorge of Patsos), Patsos, Crete 740 61 Greece

In the wonderful gorge, with a river and specific trees, we will walk for 300m in the path above and at the side of the river and we'll discover the small stone church inside of the mountain..

Stop At: Spili, Spili, Agios Vasileios Municipality, Rethymnon Prefecture, Crete

We will visit one of the most important villages of Crete. The famous village with the 32 lions heads which are faucets where the water is running from. This water its famous because it's mineral and comes directly from the montains (hundreds of years now). They're located in the square.
You can walk in the traditional village and also visit the folklore museum - free entrance -(like a Cretan house 100 years ago)..

Stop At: Kourtaliotiko Gorge, Koxare to Asamotas Road, Agios Vasileios Municipality, Crete 740 60 Greece

We will make a short stop in this gorge. Kourtaliotis gorge is an amazing and wild gorge where you'll be amazed seeing the top and the birds..

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Plakias Beach, Agios Vasileios Municipality, Crete 740 60 Greece

This is the last stop of this day tour.. Plakias village and the beach. This location is in south Crete, a relaxed place to enjoy your lunch and also the beach if you want to swim..

Stop At: Potamon Dam, Rethymnon, Crete 740 61 Greece

In the dam of River of Amari valey, we will make a short stop above at the lake for photographs.. and the valey of Amari its full of aromatic herbs and you can smell it in the atmosphere !!

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Spili, Spili, Agios Vasileios Municipality, Rethymnon Prefecture, Crete

During the way, before the village of Spili, we'll stop in the top of a hill (800m altidute) and we'll discover from a unique spot, the west - east - north - south, from the best place in Rethymno area.
