Full Day Tour in Black Sand Beach and Mangroves from Mexico

Guatemala is a megadiverse country, full of nature and fauna that make it ideal for ecotourism. Come and join us on an interactive tour where you will get to know a beautiful black sand beach, we will take a boat ride to navigate through the mangroves and other ecosystems used by many migratory birds, and, finally, we will do artisanal fishing. You will feel like a local fisherman learning the best fishing tactics.
At the end of the day, we will have a delicious seafood lunch (there are other options on the menu), and we will return to Mexico, to our starting point.
The Miguel Hidalgo Central Park in Tapachula is our starting and return point for this full-day activity. We will leave at 7:00 in the morning and return at 6:30 in the afternoon. We will travel in a modern vehicle with air conditioning and enough space for everyone. In addition, you will have at your service a bus pilot with years of experience and a tour guide specializing in nature, bird watching, and much more.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Miguel Hidalgo Central Park, Av. Sexta Nte Centro, Tapachula Mexico

This lovely adventure will start with us picking you up at Miguel Hidalgo Central Park at 7:00 in the morning.

A well-identified bus and staff will be waiting for you and the group. We will focus on ecotourism, relaxation, and enjoyment. We want to take you to a black-sand beach on the pacific coast of Guatemala, in the southwestern region of the country.

Visit one of the most important wetlands of Guatemala, take a boat ride, appreciate the mangroves, do birdwatching, eat seafood and have lots of fun.

The time on the road will be 3 and a half hours to get to the Camperico Beach from Mexico. Relax, lay back on your sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery on our way.

Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Reserva Natural Privada Manchon Guamuchal, FVFM+RQ3, Manchon, Guatemala

After a nice road trip, we will finally arrive at the area known as Manchon Guamuchal, this is a wetland with diverse ecosystems including mangroves that serve as a home for thousands of migratory birds that travel from Canada and the United States. This wetland is positioned as one of the 7 most important in Guatemala. In addition, it was declared a Ramsar Site in 1995.

Ramsar is an international convention that fights for the correct use of wetlands around the world. It receives this name since the first place where an assembly was held was in Ramsar, Iran.

When we arrive at Manchon Guamuchal a boat will be waiting for us. We will take a peaceful boat trip and will be able to appreciate the different migratory and permanent birds that live here, also, if we are lucky enough, we will see turtles and other animals.

We will stop at a specific point during the tour so you can learn about the best fishing techniques and practice artisanal fishing yourself.

Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Champerico, Champerico, Retalhuleu Department

Once we return from our tour of the mangroves, we will relax for a moment at the seashore. Champerico is the name given to this beach with great beauty and nature. The black color of its sand has a lot to do with the volcanoes that are nearby, in the Guatemalan volcanic mountain range, since dust and other non-heavy debris travel through the air when volcanoes are active. The nearby volcanoes have been without volcanic activity for many years, but they still left us with a beautiful beach with black sand.
After our time on the beach, we will go to a hotel and restaurant by sea so that you can enjoy a meal with seafood or any of the other options offered on the menu. Enjoy!

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Miguel Hidalgo Central Park, Av. Sexta Nte Centro, Tapachula Mexico

At the end of the day, we will return to Miguel Hidalgo Central Park in Tapachula. The road time is only 4 hours or less. You can take advantage of this time to relax, take a short nap, and enjoy the scenery.
