After breakfast, visit the city center where you will enjoy some of the best examples of colonial architecture including: The San Martin Plaza, Paseo de la Republica, the Plaza de Armas. The tour concludes with a visit to the more modern districts of San Isidro, Miraflores, Point where you can feel the breeze from the Pacific Ocean.

Today, we pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport for you flight to Cusco. Upon arrival to Cusco, our representative will be there to collect you and take you to your hotel, just 5 minutes away from the Historic Plaza de Armas. The rest of the day is at your leisure to venture out in one of the most stunning cities in the Americas or rest up for the rest of your adventure.

Day 4: Amazing Moray Agricultural Site and Maras Salt MinesStop At: Moray Valle Sagrado de los Incas, Maras 08655 Peru
Today you will experience a half day guided excursion throughout the Sacred Valley. First, you will visit the huge circular agricultural terraces at Moray, built by the Incas in natural sinkholes. They sit on a limestone plateau overlooking the Urubamba Valley. Then you will visit to the salt mines of Maras. At this amazing site, you can see the pansfed by saline spring water that were built on steep terraces along one side of a narrow valley.

Let’s not be in a huge rush to get to Machu Picchu! You always have to go through the Sacred Valley to get there. Enjoy the short drive to the incredible Inca ruins of Pisac and Ollantaytambo. Your guide will fill in all the details of the history of these two important and impressive as you make your way.

Day 6: Machu Picchu Citadel - CuscoStop At: Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu Peru
Good morning Machu Picchu!
We take a short train ride to the town of Aguas Calientes, and then a 20-minute bus ride to the gates of Machu Picchu. You will have a 2-hour guided tour of the sanctuary where you guide will point out all major sites. This site was never taken by the Spanish and gives us our best insight into construction techniques and cultural/ceremonial importance. You will have time in the afternoon to explore the site on your own.
In the afternoon you will board the return train to Ollantaytambo Station and private transport to Cusco.
