14 Days Everest Base Camp Trek

With eight of the world's ten highest peaks, Nepal is renowned for its spectacular mountain vistas. The Everest Base Camp trek is the grandest walk in the land of the Himalayas. Trekking through the Everest region offers astounding mountain views, and opportunities to get a glimpse into the life of world famous climbers (the Sherpas). The trek further offers the opportunities to go sightseeing around Sagarmatha National Park, a world heritage site that is home to a variety of Himalayan floras and faunas, to get a closer look at the highest Buddhist monasteries in the world, and, of course, the most gratifying of them all, the trip to Everest Base Camp itself. Mount Everest, standing at 8,848m has had a lure of its own, drawing avid climbers and trekkers to gaze on its magnificence. Your journey through this majestic region will immerse you in the vibrant local culture and traditions, colorful festivals and monasteries, picturesque villages and the gentle spirit of the Sherpa people.

Itinerary

Day 1:  Kathmandu to Lukla by domestic flight and trek to Phakding (2600M)

Stop At: Flights to Lukla, Kathmandu Nepal
Fly to Lukla from Kathmandu airport and reach to the gateway to Everest, Lukla
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Phakding, Phakding, Khumbu, Sagarmatha Zone, Eastern Region
After the flight to Lukla, you will trek to Phakding the same day.

Day 2: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3535 m)

Stop At: Namche Bazaar, Namche Bazaar, Khumbu, Sagarmatha Zone, Eastern Region
Early morning after breakfast, we start our journey through a pine forest and walk alongside the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers. We ascend on a steep trail and reach Namche Bazaar (5-6 hours) which is probably the biggest town in the Everest region.

Day 3: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar.

To avoid the altitude sickness, we need to acclimatization in Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the most beautiful and primary town of the Everest region. The place is occupied with the colorful market with ATMs, government office, shops, restaurants and so on.

Day 4: Trek to Tengboche (3850 m)

Pass By: Tengboche, Tengboche, Sagarmatha Zone, Eastern Region
From here we ascend towards Tengboche village which houses the very famous Tengboche monastery which is the biggest monastery of the Everest region (5-6 hours).

Day 5: Trek to Dingboche (4350 m)

Pass By: Dingboche, Dingboche, Eastern Region
Our trail descends and passes through lush forests of birch, confer and rhododendron trees. While trekking we can admire good views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. We continue our walk to the Imja Valley and Lobuche River before ascending to Dingboche (5-6 hours).

Day 6: Acclimatization in Dingboche

Pass By: Dingboche, Dingboche, Eastern Region
Spending a day in Dingboche will help us to acclimate to the high altitude. We can also admire the picturesque Imja Khola Valley and the beautiful Dingboche village.

Day 7: Trek to Lobuche

Pass By: Lobuche, Khumjung 56000, Nepal
We ascend to the steep terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. As the trail drops to the Khumbu Glacier moraine, we find ourselves facing several great peaks including Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal (5-6 hours)

Day 8: Trek to Gorakshep (5160M)

Pass By: Gorakshep, Khumjung 56000, Nepal
hike about 2-3 hour to base camp and trek back to Gorakshep.

Day 9: Hike to Kalapathar (5545 m
