In 1492, Boabdil , delivered Grenada to the Catholic Monarchs thus ending the history of the kingdom of Al-Andalus. But as
we will see during this trip, these seven centuries remain indelibly present in Andalusia.

The morning is spent visiting the remains of the Umayyad Mosque of Abu Abbas which today is part of the Church of El
Salvador. We will walk through the alleys of the Sevillian center to visit the remains of the Almohad Mosque; today the
Cathedral of Santa Maria is built there, converted into the largest Gothic cathedral in Christendom. We will go up to visit its
bell tower, the emblematic Giralda, which stands on the minaret of the Aljama mosque in Ishbiliya. This preserved minaret
undoubtedly constitutes the apogee of the architectural tradition of al-Andalus.
After the meal, we will visit the Alcazar of the Christian Kings, a real stone palimpsest on which the traces of the passage of
Muslims on the peninsula still appear. The Palace of Pedro I is the most beautiful example of Mudejar art, the last echo of
the Islamic master builders in Andalusia. We will finish with a panoramic visit with the Torre Del Oro, the Gardens of La
Buahira and the remains of the Arab wall.
