Pencak Silat Self-Defence & Martial Arts Class in Australia

Pencak Silat Australia facilitates self-defence classes on the Gold Coast QLD. Pencak Silat is a traditional Indonesian Martial Art that incorporates a diverse range of techniques. It originates from warfare and is one of the most complete Martial Arts system on earth!

We will provide and introduction to the elements included in Pencak Silat such as the history, culture, art form, weapons, self-defence, sports and spirituality, followed by stretching in preparation for the class at 7pm.

Itinerary

Pencak Silat Australia facilitates self-defence and Martial Arts classes on the Gold Coast QLD. Pencak Silat is a traditional Indonesian Martial Art that incorporates a diverse range of techniques. It originates from warfare and is one of the most complete Martial Arts system on earth!

We will meet at The Fish Shack Cafe, Broadwater Parklands, Southport QLD 10 - 15 minutes before 7pm Tuesday. From there, we will provide and introduction to the elements included in Pencak Silat such as the history, culture, art form, weapons, self-defence, sports and spirituality, followed by stretching in preparation for the class at 7pm. The Pencak Silat Group Class is scheduled for 7pm - 8:30pm.

You will be taught self-defence techniques that were originally disguised as a dance during the Dutch occupation, that has deep roots in Indonesian culture and history. You will walk away knowing more about Indonesian history, self-defence techniques that have been used in actual warfare and that helped Indonesia gain their independence from the Dutch East Indies.
