In this Authentic Sri Lankan Experience, you will meet a local family who will cook your meals in their backyard filled with greenery in every direction, they have their own unique recipes and you will get to Eat fresh, whole, and healthy Sri Lankan dishes with fruits & vegetables gathered from around the village and enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan experience to savor the best of nature.


Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Dambulla, Dambulla, Central Province

Visit a local village home in Dambulla and experience their homemade food along with a small cooking class.

Welcome coconut drink cut from the tree in the house.

Explains the concept of “Heirloom” ingredients and cooking techniques.

Host introduces the local family and the “amma” and immerses in the local culture.

Cooking demonstration and hands-on experience. Cooking with the Grandma!

Guests help carry lunch to the “hut” by the paddy fields and have lunch by the paddy fields.

Then have a short walk around the farm where the local lady shows all the vegetables and fruit gardens around her house and a short walk to the Ibbankatuwa Lake.
