Itinerary

Join us as we glide across the ice of the most iconic wild ice skating lake that Anchorage locals love. Westchester lagoon is made up of two lakes nestled together at the mouth of the Chester Creek trail - on one side you have the ocean and sea-ice, while on the other you have full view of our majestic front range peaks.

We will meet at our downtown HQ at 1343 G St where we will go over a safety briefing, get guests set up with skates and other gear as needed, and transport via van (or you can follow in your own vehicle) and head out to the lagoon, about 5 minutes drive. Bring your own lunch and come enjoy ice skating on some wild ice and a fireside picnic with tea, hot cocoa, or coffee!

This is perfect for all ages and all abilities - our guides will teach both wilderness ice safety skills and assist with skating for guests new to the activity. When you want a break, come cozy up by the fireside in a camp chair with a hot drink and learn about the local flora, fauna, and history of the area from our experienced and helpful guides!
