Day 1: SALAMANCA MARKETS, TASMANIAN DEVILS & PORT ARTHUR HISTORIC SITE

We begin our tour by exploring the famous Salamanca Markets in Hobart/nipaluna. At this bustling outdoor market, you can buy hand-made Tasmanian goods like jewellery, art, and woodwork. Explore the local crafts on offer while enjoying the buskers and music. You’ll also want to sample a range of fresh seasonal produce and gourmet foods.

See Tasmanian Devils and other native wildlife at this nature sanctuary.

Visit Australia's best preserved convict site, the UNESCO World Heritage listed Port Arthur Historic Site. You will get a chance to discover the fascinating story of this convict settlement with its chilling realities for prisoners amid the preserved gaol ruins. Entry and harbour cruise included.

Day 2: FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK (HOBART TO BICHENO)

Stop At: Orford, Orford, Glamorgan-Spring Bay, Tasmania
A quick stop at this quaint holiday town as we head north and up the East Caost.
Duration: 15 minutes

Understand the allure of Tasmania's East Coast as we drive through this seaside town and popular vacation place for Tasmanians and vistors as we continue up the Great Eastern Drive.

Stop At: Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay Road, Coles Bay, Freycinet, Tasmania 7215 Australia
This fabulous park has pristine beaches and a stunning pink granite mountain range known as The Hazards. Climb to the summit of Mt Amos or join the walk to Wineglass Bay lookout. Or you may wish to continue to Wineglass Bay beach to walk along the edge of the translucent waters. At Cape Tourville Lighthouse you’ll love the panoramic vistas across the coast.

As part of our visit to Freycinet National Park you can walk to the lookout or down to the shores of the idyllic Wineglass Bay.

Also within Freycinet National Park, at Cape Tourville Lighthouse you’ll love the views across the Tasman Sea and back along the peninsula. The track to the lighthouse is one of Tasmania's Great Short Walks.

Day 3: BAY OF FIRES (BICHENO TO LAUNCESTON)

Stop At: Bay of Fires, Bay of Fires, Tasmania
Today we’ll continue to explore the captivating East Coast of Tasmania. The Bay of Fires/larapuna is a place with profound cultural significance to Tasmanian aboriginal people (palawa). You’ll love walking along the long stretches of dazzling white sands with its shimmering turquoise waters and lichen clad boulders.

Stop At: St Helens, St Helens, Break O'Day, Tasmania
After the morning exploring the Bay of Fires we'll enjoy lunch at the fishing town of St Helens.

En-route to Launceston from St Helens, we'll stop by the lovely St Columba Falls and walk among towering tree ferns.

In Launceston, check out the nature reserve at Cataract Gorge in the heart of the city and look for wallabies.

Day 4: CRADLE MOUNTAIN (LAUNCESTON TO STRAHAN)

Here it is! Tasmania's big-ticket item and every hiker's dream. Will you take on the climb to Marion's Lookout or opt to meander around the glacial carved Dove Lake- With luck we may see a wombat or two at Ronny Creek.

Time to explore this friendly and quirky town where history and art merge to create an entire town of murals.

We'll spend two nights at our accommodations in the harbourside village of Strahan. This historic town is the gateway to the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area and sits within Macquarie Harbour on the West Coast of Tasmania.

Day 5: WEST COAST

Stop At: Montezuma Falls, Tasmania Australia
Walk among the temperate and lush forests of the Tarkine Rainforest to Tasmania's highest waterfall, Montezuma. A relatively easy walk, the track follows an old tramway within the rainforest for 8km (return).

Stop At: Henty Dunes, Strahan, Tasmania 7468 Australia
Explore the vast Henty Sand Dunes which stretch for kilometers along the West Coast just north of Strahan.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Ocean Beach, Ocean Beach, New South Wales
Breathe the freshest air in the world at Ocean Beach near Strahan, also the longest stretch of sand in Tasmania.

Stop At: World Heritage Cruises, 18 Esplanade, Strahan TAS 7468, Australia
You can choose to join the Gordon River Cruise today instead of visiting Montezuma Falls and Henty Dunes. This optional extra has lunch included and includes visits to Hells Gates, Sarah Island (convict prison) and into the rainforests of the World Heritage Area where you get to take a short walk in the forest.

Day 6: STRAHAN TO HOBART

Glimpse Tasmania's mining history at Queenstown which sits below Mt Lyell.

Stop At: Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, Lyell Highway Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, Strahan, Tasmania 7001 Australia
Part of the World Heritage Area, we get to enjoy the buttongrass plains, mountains and wild scenery within this beautiful National Park as we travel east towards Hobart. We'll make a stop or two along the way for special experiences most visitors would drive right past.

Stop At: Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park, Tasmania Australia
Stand on the shores of Ausralia's deepest freshwater lake, Lake St Clair. This is part of the Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair National Park. This is our regular lunch spot today.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Mount Field National Park, Mount Field National Park, Tasmania
Walk amongst the world's tallest flowering trees, Eucalptus regnans, and see the beautiful Russell Falls in this fabulous and diverse National Park. This is our final stop before returning to Hobart.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Hobart, Hobart, Greater Hobart, Tasmania
Our tour concludes back in Hobart around 5.30pm. Our guide will drop you at select locations around the CBD, with airport drop off available upon request.
