Cinque Terre Sunset Boat Tour on a Traditional Wooden Gozzo

We keep our tours small to create an intimate atmosphere. Our English-speaking staff are here to ensure you have an amazing time! We strive to make our boat tours of the Cinque Terre the highlight of your Italian holiday! It’s a personal goal of ours…and one that we continuously achieve!

Our boat is a classic, traditional, hand-crafted wooden gozzo – the characteristic boat of the Cinque Terre. While gozzos, nowadays, are made of fiberglass, my boat is made entirely of wood - just like the original gozzos.

Gozzos do not travel at high speeds, so they are ideal for the kind of tours we offer - relaxing tours spent enjoying the scenery, making new friends, sipping prosecco and listening to great music with no rush to go anywhere.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Cinque Terre, Cinque Terre, Italian Riviera, Liguria

Enjoy the soft sea breezes of the Mediterranean with the sunset as your backdrop. This beautiful time of day, when the light begins to change and soften, provides a sense of calm and serenity that takes over the Cinque Terre. The way the light hits the villages makes them look like a scene out of a postcard at times. It’s the best time of the day for taking photos!
We’ll depart from the harbor in Monterosso, the northernmost village, and cruise along the coast of the Cinque Terre, while enjoying an Italian aperitivo of salumi, cheese, focaccia and prosecco (Italian champagne). You'll make new friends on the boat while your English-speaking guide gives you a little history of the area.
You'll see all five villages as we cruise south along the coast. If the weather is warm enough, we’ll stop for a swim in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean.
We'll sail towards the sunset as we head back north.

Duration: 3 hours

Pass By: Monterosso al Mare, Monterosso al Mare, Cinque Terre, Italian Riviera, Liguria

We'll depart from and return to Monterosso.
Monterosso is the northernmost and largest of the five coastal Cinque Terre villages. The village is located on hills cultivated with lemons, vines and olives. Its amazing beaches, its beautiful reefs and the sea’s crystal-clear waters make this small village one of the most popular of the Italian Riviera.
Monterosso is divided in two parts – the old town, or “centro storico,” and the new town, Fegina - marked by the medieval tower of Aurora. The old town of Monterosso is dominated by the ruins of the castle and characterized by typical narrow medieval streets, carruggi, with multi-coloured terraced houses, shops and restaurants.

Pass By: Vernazza, Vernazza, Cinque Terre, Italian Riviera, Liguria

Get ready to take some amazing selfies with Vernazza as the backdrop!
The crown jewel of the five villages, Vernazza is probably the most recognizable and iconic of the Cinque Terre and consistently ranks as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Vernazza is the only natural harbor in Cinque Terre, a characteristic that makes it unique.
Lined with little cafes, there is only one main cobbled street that leads to and from the main piazza. Side streets lead to the village's trademark Genoa-style caruggi (narrow streets), where views of the sea pop up at every turn.

Pass By: Manarola, Manarola, Cinque Terre, Italian Riviera, Liguria

Manarola, built on a high cliff 70 metres above sea level, is the second-smallest of the five Cinque Terre towns. Along with Vernazza, it is one of the most photographed of the five towns. Along the main road boats are pulled onto dry land every time the sea is rough. The village is all ups and downs, with steep narrow alleyways, called carrugi, leading out to the sea.
You can only truly appreciate the beauty of this town from the sea - with its typical, pastel-colored houses, seaside vineyards and its very own natural pool.
Absolutely breathtaking! Get ready to take some amazing pictures!!

Pass By: Riomaggiore, Riomaggiore, Cinque Terre, Italian Riviera, Liguria

Riomaggiore is the southernmost village of the Cinque Terre, known for its colorful stone houses that seem to be stacked on top of one another and its harbor filled with traditional fishing boats. It sits in a valley between two steep hills and was named for the river, Rivus Major, that flows beneath it and out to the sea.
Riomaggiore, along with Monterosso al Mare, is one of the larger and livelier of the villages - more alleyways (“caruggi”) to discover, better people watching, and a greater choice of restaurants, cafés, and shops. It also offers the best spot to capture the sunset in the Cinque Terre. As the sun starts to set, many people gather to sit on the rocks by the harbor.
