3-Day Dunhuang VIP Silk Road Tour: Mogao Grottoes and Han Great Wall

This private tour will show to visit the high light of Dunhuang, especially ,we will arrange a private cave guide will show to visit the beautiful caves + 3 special caves of Mogao Grottoes for you, which is not open to the public.

You will have a very good understanding of Dunhuang from this tour.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Dunhuang

Stop At: Mingsha Shan - Echoing-Sand Mountain, Three miles from Dunhuang, Dunhuang 831900 China
Meet your local guide at the arriving hall of Dunhuang Airport.

In the afternoon visit the Crescent Moon Spring & the Singing-Sand Dunes. The magical spring is located in the center of sand dunes, but it has never been covered by the sand throughout the history. Take a camel riding enjoy the desert and oasis scenery.
Duration: 2 hours

• Dinner: Welcome dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 2: Full day tour in Mogao Grottoes with 3 special caves. The Silk Road Show

Stop At: Mogao Caves, West of Hexi Zoulang, Dunhuang 736200 China
You will visit Mogao Grottoes & Digital Exhibition Center , one of the 4 most famous grottoes in China.It has a total of 492 grottoes, 45,000 square-meters of murals, 2,400 painted statues .

When you finish the regular opening caves , we will arrange 3 special caves for you. the caves are more interesting.

Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Dunhuang Theater, Yangguan Zhonglu Near the Piper Statue, south side of road, Dunhuang China
In the evening , enjoy a top dance drama in China -----The Silk Road Show, 90 minutes long, VIP seats. (From November to next April, no show arranged in the tour.)

Day 3: Yumen Pass & the Great Wall of Han dynasty, Transfer to the airport

Stop At: Yumen Pass, 90 Km Northwest of Dunhuang, Dunhuang 736200 China
Visit the Gade Gate Pass & Great Wall of Han Dynasty, In the history, the Han Dynasty built many walls to consolidate the safety of the frontier region as well as exploring ways to do business with western region. Instead of piling up stones or bricks layer upon

layer like other dynasties' walls, the Han Dynasty Great Wall was built by using the local sand and weed.

After lunch, transfer to the airport, by flight MU2216(1530/1745) from Dunhuang to Xian, connect your next flight to Beijing or Shangahi.
