Full Day Trekking Tour - Fitz Roy and Laguna de los Tres

The most spectacular and unforgettable trekking in southern Patagonia.
The visit to Laguna de los Tres is a classic of El Chaltén and one of the most beautiful viewpoints for the panoramic views of Fitz Roy. Although it is one of the longest trails, it is worth it.
The activity will start with the pick up from the hotels at 06:00 AM. Then you will take the mythical Route 40 bordering the Lago Argentino and start your trip to the town of El Chaltén.
You can make the Fitz Roy Trail for 8 hours, covering a total of 20 km to reach 1,200 meters high. You will pass through different sceneries, some more wooded, others more austere and with water mirrors until you reach Laguna de los Tres.
During the winter season, the main landscape is snow. We provide you with crampons and poles so you can walk safely.
The first 4 kilometers will be to warm up, with an incredible view of the Rio de las Vueltas Valley.

Itinerary

Day 1: Buenos aires

Pass By: Gray Line Argentina, Buenos Aires 1426 Argentina
This 6-day Argentina tour begins in Buenos Aires, where a guided city tour will introduce you to the top sights. Admire historic city squares like Plaza de Mayo and Plaza San Martín; see attractions like the Obelisk, Buenos Aires’ famous monument located on 9 de Julio Avenida; and explore the popular neighborhoods of La Boca, San Telmo, Palermo and Recoleta. You’ll also experience one of Argentina’s most famous cultural treasures – the tango! The rest of your time in Buenos Aires is free to discover the city and enjoy meals at local restaurants on your own.

You’ll then venture south to El Calafate for a look at a different kind of Argentine beauty – the natural kind. Discover why Patagonia is one of South America’s most stunning regions on a guided tour to Los Glaciares National Park, one of the largest national parks in Argentina and home to various lakes, numerous glaciers, the rugged Mt Fitz Roy and excellent hiking and trekking trails. Admire the famous, and huge, Perito Moreno Glacier from several walkways in the park, and learn about the region from your expert guide as you travel through the park by bus and on foot.

Breakfast is included at your accommodation each morning; dinner can be enjoyed during your free time in the evenings (your guide will be happy to recommend local places). Where and when you have lunch will vary based on the day – either at the airport, during free time or while exploring Patagonia.

Upon your arrival at Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires, you’ll be transported by a professional driver to your hotel. After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to relax and explore the city on your own.

Day 2: Buenos Aires

Stop At: Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District
After breakfast, head out for a guided 3-hour city tour. Visit popular Buenos Aires attractions like the Obelisk monument, Plaza de Mayo, Plaza San Martín and Plaza Congreso. As your guide gives you historical and cultural information about the city, explore the city’s best-known neighborhoods: La Boca, known for its colorful buildings; San Telmo, where a walk down its cobblestone streets will make you feel like you’ve gone back in time; Palermo, one of Buenos Aires’ largest neighborhoods; and Recoleta, home to impressive architecture. Then head over to Lezama and Tres de Febrero, two of Buenos Aires’ many beautiful parks.

Stop At: Cafe de los Angelitos, Avenida Rivadavia 2100, Buenos Aires C1033AAX Argentina
After your tour, you’ll be taken back to the hotel and have free time to go out to lunch and relax before enjoying a night of authentic Argentine cuisine and tango! You’ll be driven to Café de los Angelitos, where a delicious 3-course Argentine meal awaits you. After dinner, sit back and be dazzled as some of Argentina’s best tango dancers perform. After the show, you’ll be transported back to your hotel.

Day 3: Buenos Aires - Calafate

You’ll be driven to the airport after breakfast for your flight to El Calafate

Upon arrival at El Calafate airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. After you check in, the rest of the day is yours to relax and get to know the town. (NOTE: flight to El Calafate is not included)

Day 4: El Calafate

Stop At: Los Glaciares National Park, Los Glaciares National Park, Province of Santa Cruz, Patagonia
After breakfast, head out on a full-day guided excursion to Los Glacaiers National Park. Learn about the natural features and wildlife of the park from your knowledgeable guide as you walk along hiking trails to see Perito Moreno Glacier. Standing more than 262 feet (80 meters) tall, Perito Moreno is a spectacular natural beauty. You’ll also have time to explore other parts of the park to admire impressive natural features like craggy Mt Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre, Lake Argentino, Lake Viedma, Upsala Glacier and Spegazzini Glacier.
