CWAs Wildlife Safari travels our Wyoming Desert and Wyoming Badlands in a cool open air safari truck.Get a birds eye view of our rolling hills and interesting rock formations while hearing the fascinating information about our our McCullough Peaks ecosystem.All though we are out to find our famous fighting stallions in their designated 123,000 acre area you’ll also be learning about our prehistoric equine in North America and how the current wild horse herd came to be.Hear fun history of Buffalo Bill Cody and the historic Irma Hotel as well as other famous mountain men that were the first white men to travel through these landsl.Our McCullough peaks house a wide variety of small wildlife and is a major migratory route and breading areas for pronghorn antelope,deer,sage grouse,etc.We discuss the foliage with beautiful wild flowers and the interesting terrain that was formed by our volcano and glaciers receding.

Stop At: Cody, Cody, Wyoming

On this wildlife safari you’ll be going to the McCullough Peaks Wild Mustang Herd Management Area.On this activity you’ll be given a professionally guided tour focused on the history of our famous Fighting Mustangs Of The McCullough Peaks.While traveling around Wyomings desert landscape and the Wyoming Badlands you’ll hear fun old mountain man tales about Jim Bridger and John Cultor as well as information about the indigenous people that once occupied the area.We will be discussing the history of the ancient equine of North America and how our wild horse herd came to be in our area.There is a wide variety of of wildlife that we discuss their migratory patterns and the sensitive eco-system that many animals call home.While searching for the wild mustangs you’ll be enjoying the beautiful scenery of the snow capped mountains and a wide variety of wild flowers and other plant life.Enjoy a continental breakfast or a great sack dinner while enjoying a view over our very own Wyoming Badlands
