Little Italy Food and Drink Walking Tour - Pizza, Pasta & Piazzas
On this tour, guests will get a local expert to guide them around the Little Italy neighborhood giving insight to local restaurants, shops and vendors they might not otherwise discover as well as the unique history of this area. Guests will get the opportunity to meet new people while they taste food samples at four different locations, two of which include wine or beer samples and one includes dessert.
Pizza, Pasta and Piazzas is the perfect way to get to know Little Italy the city’s best neighborhood for food and fun! San Diego’s Italian quarter has grown in popularity for not just Italian fare, but also for the rich array of local restaurant hot-spots that have opened up in the last 10 years, or so. In addition to the traditional pasta and pizza dishes, Little Italy offers up top chef cuisine, vegan breakfasts, juicy burgers, and lounges for dancing and fine cocktails! The possibilities to whet your palate are endless. This tour will have you savoring iconic bites while you get an understanding about the history and current vibe of the neighborhood with one of our professional and personable guides.
Sample Menu • Pappardelle Bolognese Pasta with Glass of Wine - Parpadelle Bolognese will satisfy any craving for an authentic Italian meal. Pair this with a choice of red or white Italian wine.
• Slice of Local Italian Pizza - Guests will get to select a slice of locally house-made pizza.
• Slider with Sangria or Beer - A grass-fed beef slider with onion mayo, cheddar and sweet relish paired with a taster of a local beer or sangria.
• Local Gelato - Guests will get their choice of a locally made gelato for dessert.
