Full Day Viking Tour with Fika Swedish Coffee Break

You will see the best of "runriket", a famous trail of Viking sites, see some original medieval churches, an old traditional farm witch has foundations of an old Viking settlement, experience an tradition Swedish "fika", visit the Sigtuna the former capital of Sweden, Old Uppsala the spiritual centre of the Vikings, Uppsala Cathedral + a lot of other information from the guide Urban.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Jarlabanke Runestones, Taby Kyrkby, Taby Sweden

See two famous runestones, I will explain the runic script. The message on the stone and about the life in Viking time.

Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Arkils tingstad, Tingvallavägen 27, 186 50 Vallentuna, Sweden

Arkils Tingstad: It's an old assembly were the vikings gather together and had meetings and a court, located on by a scenic lake.


Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Vallentuna, Vallentuna

Vallentuna church: An old parish church from the late 12th century. I will explain of the transformation from pagan time into Christianity, then give the visitors a brief history of church of Sweden's history

Stop At: Vallentuna, Vallentuna

We will Granby farm and have "fika", a traditional swedish coffee break with pastry. There we also will have a look on ruins of an old viking settlement.

Stop At: Sigtuna, Sigtuna, Sigtuna Municipality

Sigtuna was the first capital of Sweden and it´s conserved. There I will give the guests some free time, after I give them an introduction to the town and its history. Together we will visit the ruins of S:t Olof church.

Duration: 50 minutes

Stop At: The Church of Old Uppsala, Tunagatan 29, Gamla Uppsala 753 37 Sweden

Here we will have a look on the burial mounds of Old Uppsala and the old church. This was spiritual centre for the Vikings and the first Christians. The old kings were buried here in their individual mounds.

Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Uppsala Domkyrka, Domkyrkoplan 2, Uppsala 753 10 Sweden

Uppsala cathedral is the main one for Church of Sweden and the seat for our archbishop. I will give you a guided tour in the church as well as a brief city tour.
