Meet your guide in front of the tourist information sign under the High Gate - Brama Wyżynna, Wały Jagiellońskie 2A, 80-887 Gdańsk (54.349897214932824, 18.646601196250163). It's on the side facing Kotownia and the Old Town, an 8-minute walk from the Main Railway Station. Do not enter the building.

Stop At: Dlugi Targ Square, Dlugi Targ, Gdansk Poland

A Local Expert will lead our 25-person group through the charming Dluga street to the Long Market (Dlugi Targ), which in the Middle Ages was one of the busiest markets in the Baltic Sea region.

We'll listen to stories about the wealthy merchants who gathered at the Artus Court to trade amber and other goods.
The Artus Court is a building in the centre of Gdańsk, which used to be the meeting place of merchants and a centre of social life. Inside, the centrepiece of the main hall is a 10.64-metre renaissance tiled stove dating to 1546, made of more than 500 individual tiles and the tallest of its kind in Europe. There is also a huge, several-meter paintings relating to the Bible and mythology.

we'll admire the colorful tenement houses and the legendary Neptune’s Fountain.
The Fountain of Neptune constitutes an interesting example of the perception of the classical antiquity in the 17th-century art of Gdańsk. It is also the symbol of both the city of Gdańsk itself and its links with the sea.

We’ll take a walk along the picturesque embankment of the Motlawa River and see a medieval port Crane, one of the most iconic symbols of Gdansk.
