Day Tour to Laguna de Salinas

You can see vicuñas and vizcachas (andean rabbit) and if you are lucky you can sometimes see the andean foxes.
Here we can see the three different species of flamingos, you can see only in this lagoon and not in any other part of the world. to be more specific this doesn’t occur in the ´flamingos lake’ it is more famous than africa, (nakuru and naivasha, in kenya) and here you can only observe the two species.

Stop At: Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, Avenida Arequipa, Arequipa 04001 Peru

Salinas Lagoon salt lake is part of the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve and It's home of different kind of birds. At Salinas we can find Andean and Chilean flamingos, Andean goose, Andean avocet, Tamarugo Conebill, Puna plover, Canasteros and hummingbirds, also we can find Queñuas.
Salinas offers spectacular view of Andean panorama making very interesting this journey for travelers looking to get the best pictures of volcanic landscape.
The lake is in the midway between volcan Misti, volcan Ubinas and the snow-covered of Pichu Pichu.
Trekking around this lake, sighting variety of animal life, specially Andean and migratory birds. The hike will take around 2 hours and we will be at 4200 MASL.
