Hakuna Matata was an excellent host and driver, and I would highly recommend Ando travel to anyone. The hotel in Tinghir the first night could have been cleaner, but I don’t think that’s the agency’s fault. In any case, it was just fine for one night. Otherwise, no complaints! Ando gets my full recommendation.

This tour was exactly as it was described and just as magical as I could ever have hoped for. Highly recommend this company. They picked us up right from the main square that was near our hostel and had plenty of stops for photo ops and breaks, and I can't even begin to describe the night in the desert! The standard hotel night was a beautiful suite that was bigger than I imagined. Food was amazing, people were amazing, and it is my favorite trip I've ever taken.

A fantastic experience for the price! Apart from seeing the unique Moroccan countryside, you'll also meet people from all over the world in the tour group. Be prepared for a lot of driving, especially on the third day.

This 3 day tour is a must. The High Atlas Mountains, the valley, Berber village, a gorge. Stayed in a lovely hotel on the first night and then onto the Sahara and camel trek. We opted for luxury camping and it was fantastic. Downsides - We didn't get to see the stars due to clouds and the return journey is 11 hours with a few quick breaks and a lunch stop. Try and get Mohamed Bajo as your driver as some off the other people we met on the same tour had an unpleasant experience with their drivers who drove too fast and didn't talk to them!

Everything about this trip we'd read before was the truth ! First if all - our fantastic driver - Obama Mohamed! We haven't met such a friendly, helpful and a funny guy working in the tourism business before! He explained us everything about the local customs, history and tour details with lots of patience. The trip to the Sahara Desert was well organized, luxurious option really woth its price. It's unforgettable experience!

The tour itself was a ton of fun, the restaurants we went to were delicious and the van was comfortable. Great tour to take if you want to meet some other cool travelers, see the tourist sites, and prefer having a relatively more authentic experience vs 'glamping'. Never felt unsafe as a young woman traveling alone with another young woman. Everyone we met was chill and very respectful, helpful, and nice.

Special shout-out goes to our driver Muhammad who was awesome! So friendly and low-key hilarious. He made an already great trip that much better. The best driver!

This was a great tour, with a lot of interesting people. The food wasn't the most flavorful, but fine still. There is a lot of driving, with plenty of bathroom breaks. You get to see some stunning places on the way to the desert as well. We got the private tents which were beautiful. Seeing the stars at night in the desert was indescribable as well.

The trip was wonderful. Just some tips if you are going in December. The weather in the desert is cold at night but I have thick coats on so I slept comfortably. Dont throw tissue into the toilet as it can't be flushed. To see the sky filled with stars, wake up between 5:30-6:30 in the morning. Omar the boss I guess is very nice. My drop off location is in a different hotel and he paid for a small taxi at the medina to have the driver drop me off. I really appreciate is kindness and I stongly recommend joining his tour to the desert. Remember to dress warm and you should be very much enjoying this memorable experience.

Although a lot of driving, riding camels on the Sahara is totally worth the drive. Our guide Hussein was an excellent driver and our group was so fun! Riding camels in the Sahara was so surreal and beautiful. Upgrade the tent if you can!

the ride in the van is long, AC worked well, at the begining its a curvy road, i was getting almost sick, but the driver stops few times to stretch your legs ,use bathroom, etc. the best part is the night in the desert, what a magestic place! we picked the luxury tent, and it was worth it! we played drums at night around a fire, and we had a fun group. next day wake up early and see the sunrise, it was awesome. Going back to Marrakech is a long drive, again, be prepared. the agent from ANDO travel was great also, he always answer when contacted, and was corteous always.

Our camel trek experience far surpassed our expectations. Nothing but compliments to all our guides who were fun and informative as we travelled thru the Dades valley and introduced us to the Berber culture. We had signed up for the luxury tour and were so happy that we did. We had a huge tent-complete with a very comfortable kingsized bed along with a second bed and a complete modern bathroom-plus our luggage was taken to our tent for us so we had it all with us overnight and didn't need to take a backpack with us on the camels. The actual camel trek was so well done.-the campsite was beautiful with the tents in a square and carpets laid down leading to each tent. We mounted the camels late afternoon and had a beautiful ride into the desert, then dinner and entertainment under an incredible starlit sky. The guides also lined up all the camels in the moonlight for us to take some incredible silhouette pictures of them. The next morning we were up early for breakfast before sunrise, then a camel ride and stopping to climb a dune to watch the sunrise. An altogether an incredible experience. The ride back on the last day was an long one along curving roads most of the day-not an easy day but unless you took an extra day, no way to get back by evening. My husband and I were by far the oldest couple on the tour and we felt that they really kept an eye on us and were there to help us climb the dunes etc.The night we returned i got up with food poisoning so be careful in your food selections as you stop in many restaurants along the way-am sure i let my guard down the last day and ordered a tomato salad which is probably where i contacted it.No one else seemed to have any problems so it was most likely just a wrong choice on my part

We just did this tour a couple of weeks ago. Our tour was managed by Ando Travel. We loved everything about the Marrakech tour to Erg Chebbi. We did spend the extra for the luxury camping. It is a long trip and you are in a minibus for many hours over the 3 days but the trip is broken up with many stops along the way. Our driver Louis would make stops for everyone to accommodate bathrooms, ATM, shopping for Argan/Olive oils, rose water, cofffee etc. We booked the tour to take the camel ride and camp in the desert. I was not expecting the breathtaking and stunning views throughout the Atlas Mountains. Ait Benhaddou kasbah where Games of Thrones is filmed was also a unique stop. The Todra Gorge was also spectacular! The terrain and scenery throughout this tour was such a pleasant surprise. The hotel for the overnight stay was ok. We did AC and private amenities. The stop at the Berber village where we saw local's farming, learned about the agriculture, and saw a carpet demonstration were engaging and great learning experiences. Finally we made it to the Sahara for the camel ride to camp. The sunset over the desert was beautiful and the color changes of the sand in the light was simply magical! The desert was AMAZING! Our tent was also more than expected! So glad we paid for the deluxe. It was so nice! We had a quick sleep and we were back up and off to see the sunrise and trek back on the camels to meet the van. The last day was spent driving back to Marrakech. We had plenty of stops for lunch, bathroom, and shopping along the way. All along our tour, the guides were so knowledgeable and friendly. I cant say enough good things about them. The spoke so many languages and made it fun for everyone. And the food was delicious! I have a deep respect and appreciation for the Moroccans who worked to cook and feed us all during Ramadan! That could not have been easy! I guess the only regret is that I wish we had booked two nights in the desert to really experience the Sahara! It was not long enough to enjoy the beauty given the long drive. Lastly, I would not let the touristy aspects deter you from this trip. The scenery is worth every minute. You dont have to shop and buy things in the stalls that they take you to, and you can also go eat at different locations from the places you are taken. Food wasnt so expensive as some other commenters stated. Lunch for 10-15 US/pp is quite reasonable especially given that there were several courses. Just have alot of small change in Dirhams to pay for bathroom stops and tips. Enjoy!

Loved the Marrakech tour to Erg Chebbi and the luxury camp plus camel ride. It is a long trip and you are in a minibus for 8 hours but the trip is broken up with several stops along the way, like coffee at the stunning Atlas Mountains where the temperature plummets. To lunch at the Ait Benhaddou kasbah where Games of Thrones is filmed, along with many other famous films. Stopping at the Todra Gorge for an overnight hotel stay and dinner which included air con and private amenities. Before heading out for another drive stopping at a Berber town where you see how the local's farm which includes a carpet demonstration and sale. Then the last dash to make the Sahara, jump on the camels, to reach base camp, to watch the sunset followed by dinner. Loved the tent, double bed and private amenities, necessary for a good nights sleep before waking for sunrise and the camel ride back. Then back in the minivan back to Marrakech which is also broken up again with lunch and toilet stops along the way. I only wish I had booked two nights in the desert, to really experience the Saraha, as it was not long enough, given the long drive. Meeting people from around the world was also another highlight of the tour, sharing insights into what makes us similar, yet different and sharing an experience where I made new friends.

If you did your research you will find there are many tours like this one. The classic traps apply to this one as well: the places they take you for lunch are as expensive as they get in Morocco, there will be other short visits during the day with guides which mandatory tip is not included and you will do a lot of driving. However, if you know these are the rules, everything will be absolutely perfect with this trip.

I am not here to describe it, many people already did it, only to say that Guillaume our diver was fantastic. He stopped every time we asked him to, he was nice, a very good driver, an excelent company and did his best to make us have the best time.

Regarding the company: if you provide your Rhiad location they will contact you one day before telling you when you will be picked up. It's pointless to contact them before that, you will only get a generic answer.

If you are reading this and are unsure to hire this one or the same trip provided by another company, there is really no reason for not hiring this one.

Booking from Viator was very simple and easy. 3 Day tour Marrakech to Merzouga by way of Dades Valley and Erg Chebbi Camel Trek- LUXURY OPTION
      - The local tour agent - have to call them to confirm place and time of pick up. Only emailed the confirmation the day before the tour after I called.
      - The hotel pick up was on time, and the drop off on tour conclusion was also well organised with our Riad where there was a staff from our Riad who fetched and walked us back to our Riad as vehicle can not access to the alley where our Riad was We were impressed wilth this as we could have made our own way to the Riad.
      - The van can use a bit more ventilation, I think some of the air vents are not working?
      - The itinerary and the tour itself was well thought of. We have visited amazing sites, view of Atlas, Berber village with some outlook of their culture through their knowledgeable tour guides. We never felt rushed, ample time to enjoy the view and take photos.
      - The village who showcases and sells carpets/rugs were very nice and hospitable people however, we felt that we are a bit confused with the price, and felt uncomfortable with haggling with the price. It would be better if they have a standard honest price.
      - The lunch stops were not all good, average food.
      - The hotel that we stayed in need some updating. We were not happy with the food, specially the portion. We felt that there was not enough food for everyone dinner. The room was VERY COLD, not enough heating. And they turned off the water heating overnight and turned it back on at 7 am after we asked for it.
      - Both camel rides was AMAZING! Just enough time about an hour each way to view the sunset, and the next day for the sunrise. Again, not felt rushed, have plenty of time for photos. The aches and pain after the camel ride was really worth it!
      - The LUXURY tent we had was OUTSTANDING. A real LUXURIOUS experience. Red carpet, lighting. We did not mind paying extra to have the luxury option because it was really unbelievable! Beautiful tent, with heated shower, and toilet, fresh, and crisp bedsheets, and towels. Smells Gorgeous too. Dinner was delicious. The way the camp was set up was breath taking. With entertainment after dinner around the bonfire. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this experience. Make sure you get the Luxury option, it was really worth it! We highly commend the staff who attended to us Saed, Mohammed, and Hassan. Also to the drivers who took us to the camel ride. They were all so nice and kind.
      - Lastly we want to say a BIG thank you to our 3 day tour driver MOHAMMED who kept our journey safe. He was very friendly, approachable, pleasant, cautious and a safe driver. He looked after us very well and ensure we have enough stops along our travel was such a LONG drive for toilet and refreshments.
An exceptional wonderful experience all together! I would highly recommend.
