Private Tour: High Atlas and Agafay Rocky Desert Day Trip from Marrakech

This is the most flexible excursion in our portfolio, for a day across a variety of landscapes in the territory around Marrakech. You will discover the Ourika Valley (where it is possible to hire a trekking guide and explore the area on foot), then you will take the mountain road in the direction of the ski resort of Oukaïmeden, reaching Berber mountain villages by road or pist. You may have lunch with a stunning view over the Takerkoust lake and, on your way back back to Marrakech, you will cross the rocky Agafay desert with its colors and different terrains. If you wish, you can walk around the Berber villages we visit, and have tea with a Berber family or even go for a camel or quad ride!

Stop At: Ourika Valley, Ourika Morocco

We always recommend our guests to discuss about the itinerary with our driver when they meet. In this way, the day can be optimised and adapted to our guests' expectations and needs. For instance, depending on requests and weather, it is possible to spend more time in the Ourika valley and hire a trekking guide for a simple walk of about 2h (not included). Of course, if more time is spent in this area, the remaining part of the day will need to be adapted accordingly.

Stop At: Exploring the Atlas mountains, Asni, Marrakech 42152 Morocco

The tour will pass through part of the High Atlas, and depending on the programme it will be possible to visit Berber villages.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Lac Lalla Takerkoust, Marrakech 40000 Morocco

We will pass along the lake of Lalla Takerkoust, and it will be possible to have lunch here (based on the programme discussed with the driver). There are different restaurants in the area, and our guests can choose the one they like the most (lunch not included).

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Agafay, Agafay, Marrakech-Safi

On the way back to Marrakech, we will pass through the rocky Agafay desert, with its colors and different terrains. On site, it is possible to partake in activities offered by local providers, such as quad or camel (dromedary) rides.
