Stop At: Ta'er Monastery, Juban Old Alley, Huangzhong County China

Begin your day trip at your central hotel in Xining or at the city's train station. Meet your driver and hop aboard your air-conditioned private vehicle toward Ta'er Monastery which takes about 1 hour.

Upon arrival, your driver will arrange your ticket, and show you where he will be waiting for you. Then spend time to stroll around the halls and courtyards of the Ta'er Monastery. Ta'er Monastery is one of the largest monasteries of Tibetan Buddhism. Based on the birthplace of Tsongkhapa, founder of the famous Yellow Hat sect, the monastery contains incomparable treasures, delicate Tibetan butter sculptures. This sacred place is a real residence where not only the monks live, but also believers come to pilgrimage. 

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Lake Kokonor, 151km From the 109 National Rd Qingzang Highway, Xining China

Spend 1.5 hours here ,then meet your driver,  heading to Qinghai Lake directly. It takes about 2.5 hours to arrive. If you want to strop some where on the way for lunch at your own cost, please let your driver know. 

Qinghai Lake, in Mongolian language means blue lake. At an altitude of over 3,000 meters. It is the largest inland lake as well as the largest saline lake in China. Upon arrival, your driver will arrange your ticket, and show you where he will be waiting for you. Then enjoy free time to roam at your own pace.

Afterward, drive back to Xining, where your trip ends at your original departure point or any city center location of your choosing.

Please note: You will have a Chinese speaking driver, but they know exactly where to pick you up and where to drop you off. Guest can use their phone to call the tour operator if need during the ride.
