2 days Titicaca, the mystic lake

Visit the sacred lake of the Inca Empire, enjoying beautiful views from this pintoresque destination.

Visit Copacabana, a sacred town for the andean communities where you will take the boat to Sun Island, where we will visit the archeological site of Pilkokaina which during the apogee of this empire was a palace of Inca king.

Itinerary

Day 1: La Paz - Copacabana - Sun Island

Stop At: Basilica of Our Lady of Copacabana, Copacabana Bolivia
We take a shared tourist bus to Copacabana. Once we arrive to Copacabana (at 12:00 a.m. approx.), we visit Copacabana Church (depending on bus arrival). Then we have lunch (delicious trout from the lake available).


Duration: 8 hours

Stop At: Isla del Sol, Copacabana Bolivia
We go by boat to the Sun Island where we will have a walk to see the Inca stairs and a fountain. (Optional walk to the best view point to see the sunset) Nice dinner and accommodation included.

Day 2: Sun Island - Copacabana - La Paz

Stop At: Isla del Sol, Copacabana Bolivia
Once we have breakfast, we start the walk to the Inca ruins. Then we get into the Inca temple where you will have a good explanation about the place.

The boat will pick us up from the ruins and take us to Copacabana, where we will have lunch. Then, we will take the bus back to La Paz.
