Mountains Villages of Rhodes full of green forest. We visit a old family winery and we taste free local wines. A great opportunity to taste local food in award taverna at Embona village.

Stop At: Filerimos Monastery, Filerimos 851 01 Greece

Filerimos: a shaded walk along the Cedar tree lined pathway brings you to the large cross that proudly stands on top of the mountain; with 180° panoramic views you will feel like you’re on top of the world! The small castle constructed by the Byzantines is one of the most important monuments of historic influence.

Duration: 50 minutes

Stop At: Valley of the Butterflies, Rhodes, Petaloudes Greece

Petaloudes: Otherwise known as the Valley of the Butterflies - this beautiful shaded sanctuary is the natural habitat for Panaxia quadripunctaria - a rare colourful moth that resembles a butterfly.

Duration: 50 minutes

Stop At: Ancient Kamiros, Kalavarda Greece

Ancient Kamiros: One of the three ancient cities on the island of Rhodes - Kamiros is very well preserved; the town was built on 3 levels & the majority of the original foundations of this ancient city still stand today.

Duration: 50 minutes

Stop At: Embonas, Embonas, Rhodes, Dodecanese, South Aegean

Embonas: The highest village on the island and the heart of the local produce. Stopping at a local wine distillery, you will be able to sample some of the local liqueurs for yourself.
This will also be a lunch stop.
