We will leave from Gaeta, admiring the Aragonese Castle overlooking the sea. We will head towards the suggestive "Grotta del Turco". At the extreme point of the promontory, the Sanctuary of Montagna Spaccata awaits us with the characteristic chapel dedicated to the Most Holy Crucifix built on a rock wedged between the walls and suspended over the blue sea. Thus we come to a small cavity on the coast, barely perceptible and little frequented... the Pozzo del Diavolo!
Not far away "the Cala dei 40 remi". Its wild soul immediately emerges from a characteristic of the fact that it can only be visited by swimming, canoe or boat.
And now everyone in the water, it's time for a refreshing swim!!
When you go back on board, an assorted tray with fresh seasonal fruit and a glass of prosecco will be waiting for you.

In ancient times this must have been a small karst cavity formed over the millennia, favored by marine erosion, but following the collapse of the top of the cave, this was given the sinister name of "Pozzo del Diavolo"

Its wild soul immediately emerges from one feature: in fact, it cannot be reached on foot, not even through those secret paths that are often known only among residents. To visit it you have to get there exclusively by swimming, canoe or boat: its curious name would derive from the fact that "40 rowing" are necessary starting from the nearby landings; according to another version, however, the 40 oars would be a measure of its length. This cove is usually our favorite for swimming!
