Experience two half-day safaris, one during the day, and one in the evening. Udawalawe National Park is known for its many herds of wild elephants that congregate and gather in the masses to bask around the many cool springs and natural lakes the park consists of. Catch a glimpse of other animal species such as Water Buffalo, Wild boar, Spotted Deer, Sambur Deer, Jackal, Samber, Black-naped hare, mongooses, bandicoots, foxes, and the endemic Toque Macaque and Gray Langers.

Day 1: Bentota > Udawalawe

Bentota, nestled along Sri Lanka's southwest coast, is a serene coastal town renowned for its palm-fringed beaches and tranquil waters. The idyllic blend of sun, sand, and sea makes it a haven for beach lovers and water sport enthusiasts alike. Visitors can indulge in leisurely strolls along the golden shores, partake in thrilling water activities, or explore the lush mangrove forests nearby. With its laid-back vibe and natural beauty, Bentota promises a rejuvenating escape.

Udawalawe National Park to catch sight of the famous Sri Lankan Elephant. See the herds relax and play in the cool waters of the Udawalawe Reservoir. Catch sight of many other endemic mammals, reptiles, birds and butterflies that also call the park home.

Day 2: Udawalawe > Bentota

Stop At: Udawalawe National Park, Sri Lanka
Early in the morning proceed to the National Park for a morning safari.

Travel through the marshes, forests and grasslands of the park that was created as a sanctuary for wildlife in the 1970s. See the water birds and Sri Lankan elephants for which the park is famed. Catch glimpses of the other mammals and birds, as well as the reptiles, amphibians and butterflies.

Stop At: Weherahena Poorwarama Rajamaha Viharaya වෙහෙරහේන පූර්වාරාම රජමහා විහාරය., Weherahena Rd, Matara, Sri Lanka
Weherahena Poorwarama Raja Maha Viharaya is situated in the Matara District of Sri Lanka, about 6 kilometers off the Matara town. This rather unique temple is known as the first tunnel temple in the world. The temple hosts a massive 130-ft Buddha image that was built following the Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa eras and also consists of all main features of a Buddhist temple- the pagoda, a sacred bo-tree and Samadhi Buddha statue. The walls of the temple are adorned with with Buddha murals. According to the historical records, the tunnel temple paintings narrate the Jātaka tales (legends) of Ummagga Jathaka and Umandawa.

Stop At: Sri Lankan Snake Farm - Weligama, Weligama - Telijjawila Rd, Udukawa 81700, Sri Lanka
Matara Snake Farm. For three generations, this farm was run by the Bandara family. Mr. Wikman Bandara, 40 years of age is the man in charge. His father, 76-year-old Wijepala Bandara practices Ayurvedic Snake Medicine. The Snake Farm will give you the chance to learn about the cold-blooded reptiles that roam the island and also a first-hand experience with some of the snakes if you are brave enough for the challenge.

On completion of the trek return to the hotel, relax, check out and proceed to your hotel in Bentota.
