An unexpected place of peace between pre-fab-buildings, old style buildings and modern architecture. A perfect place to gain some understanding into the district and it's diversity.

The Treehouse by the Wall:
This is the story of a guest worker coming over and adapting to the Kreuzberg mentality in a second. Getting a gardenhouse with boldness right by the wall and marking their territory with the berlin guerilla mentality.

In a place where multiple squaddings led to a remarkable place for artists. Not only during the start of the scene, in the peak in the 1980s but also in early 2000s. All that effort led to the building becoming a room for artists of all kind.

The YAAM is an incredible club, but the view from here might be even more fascinating. From here you see the TV-Tower, the Holzmarkt, the Oberbaumbridge and the river Spree - it takes a minute to take that beauty in.

Stop At: East Side Gallery, Muehlenstrasse 3-100 Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, 14167 Berlin Germany

The longest remaining part of the Berlin Wall, filled with spectacular art and right within a completely new-designed business-quarter.

The district's landmark stands for crossing borders in any meaning.

Stop At: Osthafen (Berlin), 10245 Berlin, Germany

Once restricted borderland, today the spot for the young urban creatives. From here it's easy to understand the GDR's obsession with the Wall, borderland and heavy restriction regarding freedom. The river Spree invites everyone to take a small break with a beautiful few.

This very unique sculpture obviously led to multiple interpretations of which the official one is probably the one with the least sense to it.

The area here is sort of like a playing ground for adults with a concert hall, a swimming bar and an outdoor bath.

A former trainstation of Berlin's extensive railway system transformed into a park, symbolizing the thin line between alternative life and anarchy.

Completly inconspicuous is the peak of capitalism in the heart of the melting pot. Surrounded by authentic Berliners, anarchists and political activism is the car loft. A building, where you can take your car up to your balcony.

Dolce Vita at the waterfront incl. Turkish market on Tuesday's and Friday's.

As contrast to the previous Dolce Vita stops, the "Kotti" stand out with it's brutal 1970s architecture, the vibrant drugscene an heavy traffic.
