The first stop of the tour is Taqah where the castle and the beach are visited. The castle was built 300 years ago by a Wali and offers an impressive insight into the former life in the castle. You can discover for example old objects of daily use, furniture, clothing and traditional jewelry.

The beach in Taqah is fascinating with its white sand and crystal clear water. There is also a cliff right next to the beach from where you have a breathtaking view over the beautiful widths of the beach.

Stop At: Wadi Darbat, Salalah Oman
On this tour you will dive into the beauty of the eastern Salalah and be fascinated with what nature and people have to offer. First we will go to Wadi Darbat in the Quara Mountains, where between numerous waterfalls and impressive rock formations the animals of the area gather for drinking at the riverbed.

Jebel Samhan is the highest point in Dhofar region and fascinates with its panorama view over the landscape. The peak of the mountain is so high that you often find yourself higher than the clouds which makes the experience even more special.

The Baobab trees, which are more common in African flora and fauna, have also found a home in Oman. Threatened with extinction, about 200 examples grow in Dhofar, some of which are estimated to be over 300 years old.

Stop At: Earth Gravity Controversial, Mirbat, Salalah 211 Oman
The Anti Gravity Point is located on a hill between Mirbat and Salalah. The phenomenon here is that a car put into neutral gear will drive up to 35km/h uphill. There are several theories for this miracle and maybe you are the one solving it.

Day 2: Exploring the Vibrant City and the Fascinating West of SalalahStop At: Sultan Qaboos Mosque, 23.July Street, Salalah 211 Oman
The Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Salalah is by far not as big as its counterpart in Muscat, in which 20.000 believers find place - here there are only 3.200 people. Its interior does not look so overloaded, but rather radiates an airy lightness thanks to the bright, friendly colors. The brightly painted windows, which let in a lot of natural light, also contribute to this, creating an inviting atmosphere that invites you to pause and linger. The separate prayer room for the women - the Ladies Prayer Hall - is located on the north side of the mosque, which was inaugurated in 2009.

The tour continues with the visit of the Souq, a traditional market where you can experience the friendly atmosphere and have the chance to buy traditional perfumes, frankincense, dresses or souvenirs for your loved ones.

Al-Hosn Palace, the summer residence of the Sultan, can only be admired from the outside.

Stop At: Museum of the Frankincense Land, As Sultan Qaboos Street, Salalah 211 Oman
On the way to The Frankincense Land Museum you will have the chance to buy some fresh fruit or a coconut drink at the huts besides the plantation farms. The museum is beside the Al Baleed Archaeological Park and divided into six sections: the Geography of Oman, Oman in Ancient Times, the Land of Frankincense, Islamization of the People of Oman, Chapters of Omani History and the Renaissance of Oman.

Stop At: Fruit and vegetables shop, 237V+WHG, Salalah, Oman
Salalah is famous for the plantations growing bananas, papayas, coconut and other vegetables. Next to the plantation these products are sold directly to the customer. Don't miss here the opportunity to try fresh coconut water or one of the tasty bananas. Our guide will also explain you the specialties about the plantation gardens in Salalah.

Stop At: Al Mughsail Beach, Salalah Oman
Coming down from the mountains, you’ll head west to popular Mughsail. The first stop is the beautiful sand beach, sprinkled with gazebos and palm trees for those who want to rest in the shade as they listen to the waves. The mountains come very close to the ocean at that point and make for magnificent views.

Stop At: Marneef Cave, Salalah Oman
Another featured sight at Mughsail are the blowholes, where water from the sea forces its way through the rock, shooting up to 28 m high in peak season. High tide during Khareef brings the best sights, but the phenomenon may be observed at high tides throughout the year. Between the beach and the blowholes you will pass the lagoon, a haven for birds migrating between Africa and Europe or Asia.

Stop At: Fazayah Beach, Oman
The drive to the large bay of Fazayah, about 80 km west of Salalah, is already fun, because the route leads past Mughsail beach to the hairpin curves on the flanks of Wadi Afawl and on to the heights of Jebel Qamar. Up there, you feel a bit like the lookout in the mast of a sailing ship: sea breeze and an unobstructed view to the horizon, except that there are also the steep rocky cliffs with their bizarre formations. A steep but good path leads down to several small and large sandy beaches. Now it's the perfect time to put on your swimming clothes and dive into the waves of the Indian Ocean. In the meantime your tour guide will cut some fresh fruits for you, prepare snacks and cold drinks. Depending on the time you choose to drive to the beach, you will have the chance to watch the sunset and take some beautiful pictures for your holiday memories as well.

Day 3: Magical Sunset experience in the Empty Quarter DesertStop At: Wadi Dawkha, Salalah Oman
Our certified tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in an air-conditioned four-wheel drive jeep. Afterwards you will pass through the marvelous landscape of Salalah and have the opportunity to admire the biodiversity nature has to offer. You will drive through several camel herds until you reach the first stop of the tour: the Wadi Dawkah. The large natural garden and UNESCO Heritage Site is the habitat of around 1.200 frankincense trees and source of the world famous Dhofari Frankincense. Of course, your guide will explain everything about the cultivation of frankincense, the different varieties and uses.

Stop At: Thumrait, Oman
Your journey proceeds to the city Thumrait to have some traditional lunch and arabic coffee (qahwa) with dates. Thumrait is known as a famous Bedouin settlement and played a major role in times of the ancient Frankincense Trading Route which ran from South of Oman to the Mediterranean Sea.

Stop At: Empty Quarter, Oman
The Empty Quarter, which is the largest sand desert in the world, covers a wide expanse of the Arabian Peninsula, including parts of Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E.,Yemen and Oman. The desert offers large sand dunes up to 250 m in height and is home to many unique desert plants and animals. Now you drive to the place where you can ride the sand dunes in a 4X4 vehicle, climb the dunes yourself, and bask in the beautiful sunset. Be sure that it is a very special and unforgettable experience to see the magical sunset in the desert. Your tour guide will capture this unique moment with photos and videos so you can treasure this experience forever and show your loved ones at home as well. On the way back to your hotel we will stop in a traditional omani restaurant to have dinner and let the evening fade away.
