African Fabric Market Tour

Explore the local African fabric markets with Yimba Uganda's youth fashion designers! Weave your way in and out of the beautiful rainbow of African 'Kitenge' fabrics as you search for the perfect piece! Your tour guides will ensure you receive the best local price for your fabric and ensure you buy the perfect size piece according to your design ideas! You will then head to the Yimba Uganda workshop to see where the magic happens!! You will meet our Yimba Uganda students and see where our training programs run from. You will then sit down with your Yimba Uganda fashionista and design your custom outfit and take measurements! Any design you like - we can make it come to life! Average of 3 days later your outfits will be ready for fitting! The best part of all... all our Yimba Uganda tour guides are graduates from Yimba Uganda's youth empowerment programs! So not only are you supporting youth Ugandan artisians but 100% of the profits goes towards training/supporting more youth! WINWIN!

See first hand the hustle and bustle of the Ugandan public transport system as you get a birds eye view of the huge, organised chaos of the Kampala Old taxi park!

Stop At: Owino Market/Kampala, 8H6F+346, Kampala, Uganda

Weave in and out of the beautiful rainbow of African fabrics at the 'Kitenge' Markets where you can choose the perfect fabrics for your custom orders from the huge array of choices!

Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Yimba Uganda offices, 7HCP+Q8F, Salaama Rd, Kampala, Uganda

Head out of the city center via safe boda to the Yimba Uganda workshop. See first hand where Yimba Uganda trains youth in Tailoring, Fashion and Design and meet our students. Here you will sit down with your fashion extraordinar to design your outfits and take your measurements! 3 Days later your outfit will be ready for fitting!
