Itinerary

Day 1: Windhoek - Waterberg

Stop At: Waterberg National Park, Otjiwarongo Namibia
Waterberg Plateau Park is a national park in central Namibia encompassing the Waterberg Plateau, 68 km east of the town of Otjiwarongo. The Waterberg Plateau is a particularly prominent feature, elevated high above the plains of the Kalahari of Eastern Namibia.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Windhoek, Windhoek, Khomas Region
We will meet you in Windhoek and hand over your rental car. You will receive an induction and map and emergency contacts and a short driving induction if you wish.
Duration: 2 hours

Day 2: Full Day at Waterberg

Stop At: Waterberg National Park, Otjiwarongo Namibia
Waterberg Plateau Park is a national park in central Namibia encompassing the Waterberg Plateau, 68 km east of the town of Otjiwarongo. The Waterberg Plateau is a particularly prominent feature, elevated high above the plains of the Kalahari of Eastern Namibia.

Day 3: Waterberg - Etosha National Park

Stop At: Etosha National Park, Etosha National Park, Oshikoto Region
Etosha is known as Namibia’s foremost wildlife sanctuary. The landscape is unique and varied and subsequently home to a wide variety of animals. For example lion, elephant, leopard, giraffe, cheetah, hyena, springbok, two kinds of zebra, eland and many more species of wildlife are found here.
Duration: 6 hours

Day 4: Full Day in Etosha National Park

Stop At: Etosha National Park, Etosha National Park, Oshikoto Region
Etosha is known as Namibia’s foremost wildlife sanctuary. The landscape is unique and varied and subsequently home to a wide variety of animals. For example lion, elephant, leopard, giraffe, cheetah, hyena, springbok, two kinds of zebra, eland and many more species of wildlife are found here.

Day 5: Etosha - Damaraland / Twyfelfontein

Stop At: Damaraland, Damaraland
The „Damaraland“ is part of the Kunene Region in the north-west of Namibia and is located between the Brandberg and the little village of Sesfontein. The Damaraland is characterised by its rocky and rugged landscapes of rough, fascinating beauty.
The flora and fauna af the region have adapted perfectly to the harsh weather conditions of high heat and persiting droughts. Here you find the desert-dwelling elephants who with elongated limbs and broader soles are able to handle the extreme rock and sand desert better and can travel for kilometres in the dry river beds in search of water.

Day 6: Twyfelfontein

Stop At: Twyfelfontein, Namibia
Twyfelfontein, officially known as ǀUi-ǁAis, is an UNESCO World Heritage site of ancient rock engravings in the Kunene Region of north-western Namibia. Twyfelfontein is famous because of its many rock paintings and rock engravings (Petroglyphs) of the San (Bushmen) of which 2500 were counted. Specifications about the age of the engravings fluctuate and a period of 1000 – 10000 years is stated. Remarkable is that the engravings were made without the use of metal tools. It is presumed that quartz tools were used instead as many quartz chips were found here.
The Twyfelfontein area is also a great spot to encounter the famous Desert Adapted Elephants.

Day 7: Twyfelfontein - Swakopmund

Stop At: Swakopmund, Swakopmund, Erongo Region
Sandwiched between the ocean and the Namib Desert, Swakopmund, a coastal town in central Namibia, is one of the most popular places in the country for travellers to visit. The laidback town has charm by the bucketload with its colonial architecture, oceanfront promenades, historical sights, cosy guesthouses, and excellent restaurants and beer houses where you can sample traditional German food and beer.

Day 8: Swakopmund

Stop At: Swakopmund, Swakopmund, Erongo Region
Full Day in Swakopmund to experience some of the following activites: Boat Cruise, Sandwich Harbour, Sandboarding, Quadbiking, or simply a relaxing day at the beach.

Day 9: Swakopmund - Sossusvlei

Stop At: Namib-Naukluft National Park, C27, Sesriem Namibia
You will leave Swakompund and drive along the scenic Khuiseb Pass towards the Namib Naukluft National Park. The vast wilderness of the park covers almost 500,000 square kilometres and is home to the famous Sossusvlei Sand Dunes.

Day 10: Namib Desert - Sossusvlei

Stop At: Sossusvlei, Sossusvlei, Namib-Naukluft Park
Situated in the largest conservation area in Africa, Sossusvlei is possibly Namibia’s most spectacular and best-known attraction. Characterised by the large red dunes that surround it, Sossusvlei is a large, white, salt and clay pan and is a great destination all year round. The dunes in this area are some of the highest in the world, reaching almost 400 meters.

Day 11: Namib Desert - Windhoek

Stop At: Namib-Naukluft Park, Namib-Naukluft Park
Today is the last day of the tour, where you will be driving back to Windhoek. It is recommended to stop by at Solitaire, for Namibia's best apple cake.
