You will set off on your tour from Krakow in the company of a professional tour guide. Our tour guide or driver will pick you up from the reception of your hotel or one of our Starting Points in the center of Krakow. If you choose the tour option - Skip the Line Ticket (no transport), you will meet our guide in front of the main entrance to the Daniłowicz Shaft in Wieliczka Salt Mine. On the way there, your will be informed about the details concerning the visit in the mine.

Stop At: Wieliczka Salt Mine, Jana Mikolaja Danilowicza 10, Wieliczka 32-020 Poland

Upon the arrival, you will have a 10-minute break. After that, you will meet an official Wieliczka guide and begin your 2-hour journey through the history of the mine, by going down the stairs. During the tour you will walk down approx. 800 steps, 380 at the beginning of the tour, and you will wander through 3 km long corridors. You will visit more than 20 most beautiful chambers carved in salt, see a collection of mining machinery and equipment, extraordinary chapels, amazing underground lakes, majestic carpentry structures and unique salt sculptures. You will reach the heart of the mine - St. Kinga' Chapel entirely carved in salt that will dazzle you with the glow of crystal chandeliers. The guide will tell you about the natural phenomena, history and elements that have determined the rhythm of mining work over the centuries. At the end of the underground tour, you will go towards the elevator that will take you to the surface of the earth.

If you have purchased the option of the tour – Skip the Line Ticket (no transport) - you will end your tour here without transport. The rest of the group will go back to Krakow with our company staff. You will be dropped off in the place you were picked up for the tour.

"How to dress: Visiting the mine is available to people of all ages, but keep in mind that there are 800 steps to walk down - please wear comfortable shoes. The temperature in the mine varies between 17 and 18 degrees Celsius throughout the year. In summer, please bring a sweater."
"Luggage: You can bring luggage with a maximum size of 35 x 20 x 20 cm to the premises of the Wieliczka Salt Mine. If you have larger luggage, please inform your tour guide."
"Children: You can take an umbrella stroller (foldable) on the trail, but remember that there are a lot of stairs along the way (about 800), and there is no place underground where you can leave the stroller. It may be a good idea to take a baby carrier or a scarf."

"Please note! The guided walk through Wieliczka Salt Mine consists of 20 monumental chambers joined by 1.5 miles (2.5 kilometers) of pathways. Visitors entering the Wieliczka Salt Mine descend a 380-step staircase to Level 1 (64 meters below ground level). This walk is not strenuous and can be undertaken in ordinary footwear, however we ask you consider the walk and 380-step staircase when booking this tour. The return to the surface will be by lift up the Danilowicz Shaft, from Level 3 (135 meters below ground level)."

You are required to contact Cracow City Breakers no earlier than 3 days and no later than 24h before the date of the tour to confirm the time of departure.

DEPARTURE FROM ONE OF OUR STARTING POINTS: You will meet your tour guide at one of the Starting Points. Please wait at the Starting Point from which you confirmed pick-up. Do not change the Starting Point without our knowledge.
DEPARTURE FROM YOUR HOTEL: You will meet your tour guide at your hotel reception. If your hotel is in an area with limited traffic, which is the exact city center (Market Square and nearby streets rounded by Planty Park), then we will pick you up from one of our four nearest possible pick-up places.
DEPARTURE FROM THE WIELICZKA SALT MINE: You will meet your tour guide in front of the main entrance to the Daniłowicz Shaft in the Wieliczka Salt Mine, 10 Daniłowicza Street, 32-020 Wieliczka.
