These immense, solid rocks were split by earthquakes, weathered by water and wind over millions of years.They are nature’s beautiful masterpieces.On the tops of those enormous rocks,Meteora monasteries have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and the Meteora-Antichassia region has been officially declared a Natura 2000 Ecological Zone , for the protection of its rare species of birds and flowers.Part natural wonder, part manmade marvel, the dramatic site is one of the most popular attractions in Greece.
